There aren't any convincing upright piano sounds in the original Kronos factory preload. I think all of the original "ROM" piano multisamples are from grand pianos. I concur with KK. Search for Karn Evil 9 and for Tom Sawyer. Both sounds are there on the K2. On the stock K2, the first is in INT-B120 "Karn Evil #9 S&H (G#4)" and the second is in INT-A093 "Tom Sawyer Bass Synth" played somewhere around key E2, I think. .[/quote THANK YOU GUYS. FOUND THEM

The Krono's piano's only sound as good as your ability to play them. I would recommend to use the EFX with them. You can dramatically change the personality of them...especially if you use the Tube amp sim. The Korg Sustain pedal also made a tremendous different with playing them. My only complaint ...

Did you try Korg's Italian grand ? Even though every person might prefer different piano sounds (actually any instrument), it's now one of my two favorites along with the Berlin. If you never tried it, simply install and try the demo version. There's also Korg's Austrian grand, not as good IMHO ...
