I've had quite good results with converting Yamaha styles to Pa5X, mainly as a result of postings from Qui and others. I too have purchased the Toolkit, and I am very pleased with it all. There is a nice range of styles and I particularly like the kbdsets associated with each. I find the kbdsets in the factory styles seem often to be an afterthought.

Am I right in thinking that there only 1 set of drawbars in the Pa5X so that I cannot create a different combination of bars for Right1, Right2 Right3 and Left? I am used to doing this on my Tyros5 where I can also effectively control the attack (called Resp. on the Tyros), vibrato and percussion ...

My only use for the SD slot is to take regular backups of the KORG disk. My amateur playing around allows me to recover from a mistake which overwrites or deletes something I need.

I have had similar importing problems with some files. If the above problem is resolved, it would be helpful to see the resolution that Qui finds.

I have a Casio piano connected via midi to the Pa5X. When I connect a volume pedal to the Casio, this controls only the keys and not the style. This would suggest that the Pa5X can respond to an appropriate midi CC command. Without the Casio, I guess some extra hardware would be required

Is it possible to start pads with the synchro start feature? I haven't found a way to do this if the left hand is making a chord and the melody starts on the first beat.
