i got one when i powered up my tex. it said but im not sure "calendar battery power low". when i checked my calendar it was 2 days late but it didn't have anything to do with the sounds, just for the date when you save your sequences and anything. I don't know how to change the battery either.

Tropical Hi

Hello from the Philippines.

make it simple as Sharp said: buy a dirt cheap CD drive if you don't already have one, any brand will do. then buy a cheap CD enclosure (it comes with a USB cable), you now have a cheapy external cd drive. plug in the power and plug the usb connector to your TEX. you're good to go, all at $30. Did you use your extreme to format the card?

I just updated mine using a 16mb cf card. Before doing the update, I formatted the card with the extreme, made sure that the extreme can read from and write to the card. The update was completed without a glitch.
