Well guys...you know that stocks are not good for the business and every retail point of sales follow this rule when possible. I live in Lyon that's about 3 millions and I never was able to try my TR88 before to buy. I got the chance to try the TR in Sardinia in a city 300K habitants. I think a ...

Amplification for my TR

Hi all, I would like to acquire a sound amplification+speakers (or active speakers) for my TR88, to be used both when I'm playing with my group or when I play/record alone at home. We don't have common amplification because guitarists prefer to kee their own ampli sound. Which kind of solution ...

Hi, I bought an XW4300 workstation from HP one year ago. It's simply excellent and more cheap you could think a professional workstation can be sold. No worries as it's certified with most of well known softwares. I got three SATA 2 disks, 3 GB RAM, dual core Pentium and it has firewire integrated ...

Orrible sound break while changing sound

I take the ball from Wolfgang1 to send to you a more specific question. How do you avoid the sound break that you have while changing from a program/combi to another? With a very old keyboard if I keep the dumper pedal pressed and I change the sound, I keep the old sound till a new key pressure. I ...

put RAM 32MB EDO sample on google. I bought two modules from OEMPCWorld and they work perfectly with the TR.

The RAM is autodetected and this will displayed in the boot screen.
I use this RAM for loading samples, other things we can do, I don't know.

I assume this is the same on LE and TR and if it is... In combi mode, press menu and select page 3.1 (PRM1). There's a midi channel selection for each program in the combi. Change the channel of a program that you wish to play with an external keyboard to a different one than GCH (which means it'll ...

Hi, just to keep you all updated on this... I have now tried myself and looks like (from the manual) there is no solution. I found on the manuals clearly stated that the Oscillators will play only midi signals playing on the channel GM. So, if I program a combi with an assigned midi channel I cannot ...

The RAM slots can be installed opening the little back cover (the big one is for the sampling card) with a screwdriver.
Then you insert each memory RAM carefully. You need to place 45° and then rotate till there is a click.

Playing with two keyboards...

Hi all, I'm new to MIDI and I would like to know if it's possible to play AT THE SAME TIME two keyboards using the TR sounds. In the specific I own an old Yamaha that has MIDI OUT and I would like to use in stage, in combination with the TR88. As the TR 88 has much better sounds, will be nice to ...

My guess is you used the wrong kind of ram but I could be wrong. The problem with the distortion might be that your audio equipment is overloading. At my studio we have some large 400 watt bass cabs which crank out so much bass that some Combis or Progs will over load the sound and make it sound ...

Two problems with my brand new TR88

Hello, I got my TR88 two days ago...nice piece. I think I have two problems anyway. 1.Can somebody kindly check if your R&B Piano has some distortion...cracking...like a bad sample. I think I have also a second sample having the same problem...I had not the time to check at all the sounds anyway ...

Hey Jako,

I got mine ! ;)

for Cubase just open a new project and add a midi trace before having connected the TR via the USB cable for example.
do not forget the drivers  and to select the good midi source.

Interesting discussion. This is what I was asking myself as I still have to receive the TR88 today or tomorrow and I'll use also in live sessions. Now, one time we found the better buttons to use...is it possible, for example, for each song, load a different sound sequence from an SD card in those ...
