Here's some pertinent info from my previous post: I made three patches (oops...I mean programs Wink) for the combi: 1. The lead sound (saved to program A00) 2. The organ/string sound (Saved to Program A01) 3. The bass (saved to Program A02) I had some "works in progress" in my Combi A bank A00-A02 ...

Things you like most about your Triton Extreme
We have another thread currently, mentioning dislikes with the Triton Extreme. This thread is for listing all of the the things you like MOST about your Exteme. I'll go first.... My favorite things about the Extreme are: 1. Mutiple synth engines, plus sampling. 2. All of #1 sound great. 3. The LCD ...

Also I don't know if it is just the KARMA, but the programs and the combis particularly seem to have a stupid amount of reverb and bass boom. Tweaking of the reverb and EQ immediately makes it sound much more fresh and modern. Yes! The exaggerated bass EQ on a lot of the programs is just plain NUTS ...

I've never been totally happy with the acoustic OR electric pianos. Other things that are a slight nuisance: The idea that I have to extra careful with the side panels, due to their propensity to cracking/breaking. Some of the editing parameters are in the wrong menus (IMHO). Non-available parts for ...

Hello,
If the pot does need to be replaced, "Parts is Parts" might have the slider for your Triton. You can try calling them. Their number is on this page which also shows some Korg pots for sale:

Triton Extreme MIDI CC Info (I Made A Spreadsheet)
I thought this message board had an attachment option? Oh well, I hope the link works. It's for an Excel spreadsheet list of all of the MIDI CC assignments that I was able to find in the Triton Extreme Operations Guide. There are two sheets to the file:

Hello again. I was just looking at your pic of the motherboard. In the top left corner, there is a cap (possibly C159) that looks strange to me. It could be fine, but I have seen caps short internally, which caused them to heat up and melt away the vinyl label/wrapping. It can look very much like ...

I noticed in your first post that you pulled the motherboard. something I would double or triple check is to make certain that all of the connectors were connected again. It's easy to miss some of them when re-assembling. I say this with past surgical experience on another synth or three. Also, I'd ...

Hmm... I just tried it again, and was able to reproduce it using some synth sounds that I sampled and then programmed into the E bank. I wonder if my issue is only reproduce-able using the sample RAM? I wasn't able to reproduce it using the factory sounds. It just might be aliasing. It sounds like a ...

I found a strange tuning problem that is very apparent with mono patches. It may or may not be the same problem that others are experiencing. I haven't messed with this in awhile, but I think this is how you can hear it: Select a mono patch Hit a low note and hold the key down While it's still down ...
