Thanks for that clarification. Now I understand what that function does.
Now how do I go about adjusting it so that the chord changes on the measure, not when keys are pressed in the lower?
Where is that function switched?

Changing Chords on the Measure Only
Can someone explain to me how to get the left hand chord to wait until the measure to change instead of changing exactly when I change the chord? I prefer playing the chord just ahead of the measure so I can jump over to the pitch bend and use it more authentically. I went into preferences and ...

Re: Pa5X OS Update V1.4
Ya, me too! I don't want to keep pressing the harmony button on and off between every Verse and Chorus to get my BG Vocals in with me. Don't want to use the slider to bring them up and down throughout a song, either. A footswitch for that would be cool. Both of my hands are busy! Right now I've got ...

Updating OS from 1.2.1 to 1.3.1
Hey All,
Been out of the loop a bit, but my OS is 1.2.1 right now and I need to update to 1.3.1
Is it okay to skip 1.3.0? Or should I update that one first before 1.3.1?
And likewise, the same if 1.4.0 comes out soon?
Thank you

Re: Copy Keyboard Set 1 to Keyboard Set 2, 3, 4
Thanks for that info. I tried to do that, but when going to the "Save Keyboard Set" info on page 382 of the owner's manual, my screen looks different. I don't have the option of save "To Style". My screen only has one option.....save "To Library". Maybe my OS version is too old at 1.2.1 ??? Still ...

Copy Keyboard Set 1 to Keyboard Set 2, 3, 4
After building a keyboard set (1) for a song, how can I copy that over to keyboard set 2, 3, and 4 with minor changes. I want to make my sets similar throughout a whole song, like strings lower left, EP in the middle, and a solo sound (sax) in the upper section. But I also want keyboard set 2 to ...

Adding a one or two measure click intro
Is there any way to take a MIDI file on the PA5X and add a one or two measure click intro
so the guitarist and I can come in together on the intro of the song?
Some MIDI files that I've improved the sounds on and saved still need a soft click for us to jump
in at the beginning.
Thank you

Saving A Song from MIDI File With My Sounds
I can edit a MIDI file and save the sounds on all of the 16 tracks as a new song title. But I want to also save the Keyboard Set with it, so the sounds that I have set up to use as I play don't revert back to a Style setting. It seems as though when I load one of my saved songs, I only have the last ...

Wow! This is very cool, and quite helpful. I'm learning new things daily on the PA5x that are so awesome in my work. Thanks for the video, Qui. Not only are they super helpful, but I appreciate your chord structure knowledge during performances. I wonder if you know how to 'add' song length measures ...

YAAAAAAY!!! Finally figured it out. I had to be in a different screen AND a different MENU mode to get to the 'Legacy' sounds and save them within the MIDI file. I also found out not only how to record a new track, but also 'punch in' on a track to fix some old mistakes. This is really turning out ...

In other words, no matter what track I select, there is no sound coming from what I have chosen. They only sound when the MIDI file is playing. I can change volume, mute, and solo during playback, but not actually play the sound by touching the keys and hear it. I was editing what I thought was to ...

Ok, I'm understanding the editing part now. But I can only get into edit any of the "UPPER 3, 2, and 1" buttons on the KEYBOARD section and in the mixer screen. When I go to the actual sound in the mixer of the MIDI file, I cannot edit that sound, or even hear it either. I must be in a wrong editing ...

Legacy Sounds and Editing / Saving
Overwhelming, but the PA5x sounds amazing to me. My first arranger keyboard. I've been using a Roland Fantom X for the past 18 years and have done over 1200 sequences, so I have lots of work to do to convert. I'm trying to improve the sounds of my MIDI files, and I understand Qui's editing. But I ...

Screen Sits Flush?
Hey all! New to this forum, but I have a question right out of the box..... When the screen is completely closed flat, does it fit perfectly flat, or is there a little that sticks up at the very top? I just took mine out of the box and noticed that the screen fits perfectly flat at the bottom, but ...
