Which downloadable patches for the X50?
Hi everyone, I was just wondering, which downloadable patches can I use on the X50? Will ones compatible with the Triton/TR- series work or do I need X50 specific ones? Thanks much!

Korg X50 for $500 CDN? Jump on it?
I was just offered a Korg X50 and stand for $500 CDN. Does this sound like a good deal for what I'm hoping will fill the empty top slot in my keyboard rack? Is it a good price? I play mostly power metal - Sonata Arctica, Nightwish, Children of Bodom, etc. Just wondering what your recommendations ...

Thanks for the suggestions, I may make a trip soon to one of those locations! However, I have a new dilemna: I found out that the Korg M3-61 is $800 less than the M3-73, and I realized, for less than the difference in price, I could get an 88-key MIDI controller and get both synth action (with the ...

Buying a Korg M3-73 in Canada?
I've recently decided to buy a Korg M3, but I live in Canada and my options seem very expensive compared to what my neighbours in the US can get. For instance, http://www.axemusic.com/product.asp?numRecordPosition=18&P_ID=16552&PT_ID=120 gives me a Korg M3-73 for almost $2800 CDN + shipping, but I ...

Good keytar?
So I've been looking for a reasonable keytar. Now I know the Roland Ax-1 and Ax-7 are the best options, but they've gotten so pricey lately. What about an alternative, like the Yamaha SHS-10? Anyone have any experience with it or others?

Would it be better or worse than say, a Karma? I have an option to buy one of those locally as well, including EXB PCM-01, a stand, adapters, Chemistry sounds, two pedals, etc. for more around $1000. P.S. I'm also concerned that this thing will be too dance-oriented for my tastes...I don't perform ...

Korg Karma still practical?
If I were to find a good price on a Korg Karma, is there any reason I should jump on it, even with all of the newer synths available? Are the sounds noticeably lower in quality than modern synths? I'm just curious...with my budget of around $2000, would it be a waste to pick up a Karma instead of ...

Help me identify this synth?
Ok, so I was at a Sonata Arctica concert last night, and I'm trying to identify one of the synths Henrik was using (for any who know them, not his Roland AX-7/1 keytar). Anyways, this synth had a small, maybe 2x4 inch orange backlit screen (might be the most unique feature), about 5 faders/sliders ...
