you should go find a local recording studio where you can pay to have the track recorded by an engineer.... just go and speak to them and explain what you have and there is bound to be someone who in to your type of music etc. If doing everything on the emx then you need to get a good mix of levels ...

I would have thought yer better off buying a new one and then selling the machine no?

are the samples from the origional stylus disk or have they been compressed and decoded along the way

Maybe its just the pre compression and processing of the factory samples that sound different... try downloading them from korg and load a few up for an A/B comparison

you need to hit the motion seq button in part common before recording... set it to smooth!

bit of a coincedince having two machines with the same echo issue!

try another mixer channel or the headphone out?

you may have "protect" enabled which prevents you resetting or deleting anything

well why not order as many spare knobs as you need, remove the pcb, then take them to a decent hi-fi repair shop explaining whats needing replaced. if you want to replace all the knobs + encoders - thats 20 at £2.00 a part but more for encoders + engineers time... you would be cheeper buying a new ...

never sent anything away so im not sure about the turnaround. it will be about £40 though. I phoned and ordered the pot ( knob) :lol:... and a spare for around £10 including delivery, then soldered it myself. if you cant solder then maybe you have a friend or family who can... and is competent.. ...
