Adding MIDI devices/controllers to Ableton Live

..specifically the "Control Surface" list of devices in the MIDI tab of the Preferences menu. I did this with one device, but do not remember how. Is it possible to do this with the M3?

KP2 Euro adapter?

I bought my KP2 in America, and have been using it in Europe for awhile. Can I just buy a generic European adapter to use in place of the American one? At the moment, I use a voltage converter and all that. They heat up, and consume more energy than is otherwise necessary. So, my question is this ...

Changing the opening screen?

I used to have the M3 set up this way, but can't figure out how I did it. When I turn the M3 on, I don't want it to open to that "Toward The Sun" (or whatever it's called) song. It's a bad idea to have something like that right as a startup. It's like advertising how bland and generic you can make a ...

do I even need midi cables at all?t

apologies in advance if this is in the wrong section of the right forum, but whenever I was using my padKONTROL, or the M3, or some kind of midi controller, I would always plug in the USB cable and two midi cables to the world's worst audio interface (fastttrackpro) and go from there. it wasn't ...

cool. thanks for that I'll check it out. I was trying to do this manually yesterday by opening up two pdf files next to each other: one with the old lineup of programs/instruments and one with the new arrangement. most sounded as they were intended when I made them pre-xpansion, but have any of the ...

pre-upgrade SEQ songs? any fix for this yet?

I have a few songs that I really liked that I made in sequencer mode before upgrading to Xpanded. Now they're a mess of instruments that have no business playing together. Has there been any way to remedy this? any solutions from Korg at all? or, was there a list of the specific program numbers for ...

But then only the MIDI data will be sent, right? Not the various piano, drum sounds and samples that I'm playing on the M3. Or am I off on this?

Tracking from SEQ to a DAW

I have some ideas as to how I should do this, but I'm wondering if there's an automatic way to do this: I have songs that are recorded entirely in the SEQ mode. I need to record each individual track in these songs to individual tracks within a multitrack DAW. How can I do this so that they don't ...

I see. I suppose you're right about this not being the feature for my needs here. I'll just create a multisample and assign the same sample to different keys each with a different "Start sample" point.

Thanks
