by program buttons you mean the "All 0-9" programs? are you able to recall the scale/key when you load those? i'm not. even if it works with whatever is saved to All [0] thats still not that great considering you can only have one song saved along with its proper scale/key. this business is my #1 ...

i've been out of the country for a few weeks and without my kp3. i still really like it, regardless of its many flaws. i don't have many tips or tricks but maybe i'll get around to recording some of my tracks and posting them on here to play my part in keeping things alive.

Are you sure about that? I think it loses the key and scale when you save/load all.

I dont think layering a ton is a mistake at all. One of my favorite things is building huge walls of sound. I think the video shows an interesting way to use the thing. I always start from scratch. I need to get some premade stuff going.

I hope the next kaossilator iteration has programable synths in it. Let's hope the series catches on and makes it that far. I think it will.

I found an interesting work-around for the issue of accidentally recording snippets of whatever you're playing while turning on/off pre-recorded banks. the 'hold' feature. as long as you're playing something that lends itself well to just being set on hold, you can then switch the banks freely ...
