Thanks guys, I couldnt take it anymore and shipped it back. I checked the back early on, all gains where at 0. A lot of MOD7 sounds, if playing a chord, would pop, about 25% of the "drum track" loops would pop/crack (even if completely lowered internally). Also, a good 20% of the combis were giving ...

Crackling / Clipping Issue
Hi All, Just bought a Korg Kronos. Had one last year but had to sell, glad to be back! Anyhow, Ive been noticing a lot crackling/ clipping on random presets, and even on drum patterns. I'm NOT talking about the tape/analog effects. Its separate from that, that is actually somewhat pleasing. Anyone ...

Honestly, uniformedservices1969, I got into with you in another thread, and Like the poster said you do need to chill a bit. Your kind of aggressive and think you "know it all", even after people have proved you wrong on things. We know you are passionate about the Krome, and all the other gear you ...

From my knowledge of getting mine replaced, that is correct. Those are not the part anymore. Its now a newer, MUCH cheaper part, which just came in stock to Korg a couple of weeks ago. They go for about $75, and May be made by Samsung I believe. I would call Korg headquarters, they would be able to ...

Mine was a 2010 Xpanded model, and the touch screen completely went out, so I don't think they ever changed or fixed the screen. I wouldn't hold back from buying a m3 though, if you buy one under warranty, they will fix if it's broken. If no warranty the new part is only $75. Also, there is a good ...

M3, 2 minutes boot time? Only if your uploading a bunch of samples from the get go. Standard, its not even close to that long, about 30-40 secs. I never said buy a PC3k, but you said you owned a PC3LE6 which essentially has the same "orchestral" sound set, and you sold it. PC3K just adds sampling ...

Kurzweil pc3le6 is basically a rompler, not VA, although it does have a VA engine, it's not programable with that model. Also, kurzweil is widely known for having best orchestral sounds, you won't find any better, and that includes krome. Honestly, with all this gear you bought and returned, I'm ...

I was surprised seing the results of this poll: I thought everyone is using software sequencers these days for any serious sequencing. It's not surprising because many people who hang out at music forums are amateurs or weekend warriors. They don't do serious sequencing. Kinda sad you guys think ...

Wack Factory Combis
Everyone seems to be complaining about something, so I thought I'd join in. :D Does anyone think the factory combis are really bad? They seem so much worse then past korg workstations, they are way to busy, and karma is flying every which way, sometimes they arnt even the slightest musical. Doesn't ...

Re: Whats your fav synth engine in Kronos?
I have to disagree wholeheartedly on the Polysix. My daughter's boyfriend brought over his REAL poly six a few weeks ago and we did a taste test through my $1000 Adams Monitors. With the exact same settings, it was ever so slightly off. But tweaking the Kronos by EAR to match (Remember the Polysix ...

Whats your fav synth engine in Kronos?
have had mine for only a week, but I think so far my favorite is Mod-7, I think they nailed the 90s digital sound really well. Love the vector joystick! Dig the polysix too, but it still doesnt come close to touching the real thing IMO.
