hi, i asked this on another forum a while back and got one response. The EC-5 has a 7 pin connector which will not fit on the 1000. Someone replied that a midi volume pedal worked fine for him. I have other plans for the midi connectors, however, and won't be able to use those connections. That ...

Update- problem solved! I learned to do a partial backup (without the Songbook) and did a factory restore of said songbook. Now it works as it should. So far, the only other difficulty is with Global settings. I go to Global and choose, say - uncheck factory protect - and exit out of it. The problem ...

John, So far I am pleased with the 1000. When I ordered it I knew it would have some shortcomings but for what I needed, it is very good. It is not a PA4x, but it comes very close. I am trying to learn as much and as quickly as I can about the Korg and the OS. The sounds are good and the styles are ...

songbook - first question!

OK, so I just got a 1000 and am trying out Songbook. I noticed that there are duplicate entries for each song. Is something wrong here? I put one of my songs in and it was only a single entry and played fine. Should I delete the duplicate entries or what? This is, I am sure, the first of many ...

PA2X Pro Arranger

Just checked mine, time was off about 7 minutes! I clicked Apply, then used the down arrow in upper right corner to choose "Write Global-Global Setup"
If you did that it should have worked; if it didn't then I have no other ideas.

stuck notes

Yesterday I was auditioning some styles on my PA2x and added a string part (along with sustain on the damper pedal) to an upper keyboard line. The notes stuck. I looked for a "panic" button but wound up turning off the power. Are there any other options I've overlooked ?

midifile playback on PA2x

No, I did nothing to it. I played it from a USB flash drive. Perhaps I should have saved it to the hard drive first and then tried it. I'm a newbie and just assumed it should play that way with no changes.

midifile playback on PA2x

I have a timing issue with midifile playback on my keyboard. When I play back a midifile the tracks seem to drift, the drum track will get "off". Is there something wrong with the player or maybe the midifile has something wrong, such as embedded commands. The files sound o.k. on another keyboard ...
