Well to the Brians and other's I used the Karma in two films Bowling for Columbine and Fahrenheit 9/11, the Oasys in Capitalism a Love Story, and the Kronos on my current film. So though I am not famous, the projects I brought the the predecessors to the Kronos are fairly well known.

One more improve. Just fooling around with the Austrian Dark Grand to explore the sound of this instrument a bit more. Might be helpful to those considering this piano.

Thanks, I could do more and better but am a composer not a pianist so I have to try a few times before not stumbling over a performance. Thick chords, runs, etc sound very good as well my open sorta of style. I friend who has been a session performer on major releases on keyboards stopped by and was ...

Here are a couple sample improv recordings of the Austrian Piano for those of you considering the instrument. I might add that mostly what I like is the Austrian's perceived responsiveness . Others may react differently, it is after all subjective. By the way, I have NEVER bought a board without ...

Austrian piano ++

Just downloaded and authorized the Austrian Piano. Wow. For me, and what I do, the texture, responsiveness, and tonality of the Austrian is incredible. It feels like a piano that really responds to my playing more than the German Grand. And for film score and for improvisational solo piano, my main ...

Wow, thanks for the input both of you. Alas I sold my Oasys so I cannot go that route. For me even the digital for whatever bizarre reason sounds far less stunning than right from the Kronos to the monitors. I used an Apogee briefly a while ago. I also used the Presonus Studio live and it was great ...

Ominsphere, the choirs, symphonic style strings, and guitars are very realistic and complement the weaknesses of the Kronos/Oasys well. I have far more expensive sample based VST's and for these instruments the sound plus ease of use Omnisphere beats them for my taste. My go to VST synths are G ...

Yes you could do that. And you could use the USB. Or you can record internally and transfer via a drive. I am aware of all those options and have used them all. I am asking those who use a/d converters for whatever reason what sounds the best for their taste with the Kronos.

What a/d do you use to preserve the pristine sound quality?

Question for everyone. For both my Oasys and now my Kronos I am always absolutely floored at the unbelievable sound quality when running them DIRECTLY into my monitor speakers using very high quality cables. I've tried several a/d converters but though the sound is very good always felt that there ...

It would be VERY useful if we could change drum patterns on the fly using the Karma scenes or some other technique other than RPRR or leaving the drum pattern setup open. When I had a Motif the ability to completely change drum arps at the touch of a button was one of the features I liked best. Even ...

I did realize that the setting could be changed on either the effects or the tonewheel page in the instances I referred to where the changes were not saved. Yes I was wrting the progams, either overwriting the existing program, or writing to a new blank user slot. So yes X-trade, you are right if ...

Internet insulting and debating is something that can really get out of hand. That is why I used my real name, and ...

Writing/saving program edits glitch?

I noticed soon after getting my Kronos that when saving or writing the NIACIN Wah patch aftrer I set the patch to dual keyboards instead one that the change did not take, though others settings I changed were saved. I tried this a couple times just to make sure. The program always reverted to the ...
