I just came to say hello to my old friends here ;)

Well, it's a long time since I was active here. I am still in making music, sound programming and using vocoders and still making videos on YT Since I switched a bit more to analog synths, I only kept my Radias from the initial setup. Meanwhile, a VC340 and the Poly-D are joining my Nord Piano 3 and ...

You need to hook up the audio output from your Korg to your DAW and set up pro tools to record audio

Take a look here http://www.korgforums.com/forum/phpBB2/ ... hp?t=50987 to see what you need. This applies for mostly all actual keyboards

Hi Poetic, as I said, first I would test the output voltage of the adapter. Second I would check if one of the capacitors (the blue ones at the last photo) have a short circuit. It would also be usefull to know what the designator (the white text on the PCB) nearest to the blown component reads ...

Hi Poetic, From the location and the fried component which I cant recognize I would say it is the power adapter input section. At first I would check the voltage of power adapter if it is damaged. Is it the original one or did you use a replacement? Was there a storm with lightnings near you ...

Well spotted Timo. You clearly didn't only just find this site when according to your previous posts you bought an R3 from them. I hope this isn't your own site that you're advertising. If he really got an R3, he surely will post some messages in the corresponding thread as any one of us has done ...

I realize I'm a newb in terms of the forum, but on the used one I bought the white data value knob skips...if you turn it too fast it can actualy go backwards. This is relatively common on such type of encoders. With each predefined angular movement they send a pulse. Depending on its resolution ...

axxim now you tell me lol Have already removed the DSP Chips from Both boards and cleaned the pads ready for the new DSP chips to be fitted, I was just wondering if after fitting the DSP chips the original fault that had blown them could re-occur? if you are correct about the problem being the ...

I really doubt that the issue is damaged or blown DSPs in the majority of the cases exposed here. Even if is possible that there was a production charge where the process had some deviations from the standard and the failure rate for this charge has increased, my bets go for faulty solder joints ...

Re: taking care of keyboards

Hi. As a gigging musician sometimes one has to face really extreme conditions, especially when we talk about playing outside. It is rather often that it is rainy and cold and wet. After a few attempts of playing in such conditions I realised that it can be really dangerous for my Korg as after a ...
