logic 8 can't audio quantize (although logic 9 can and its pretty slick) so you'll need to record MIDI, quantize it, and then use the R3 and as external sound module and record its audio output.

Thanks, axxim. Basically i can't sing very well so i was wondering what kind of true-to-life fidelity i could achieve using the R3's vocoder. Of course it wouldnt be perfect or even very good, but i'm curious. For example i heard that that stupid Owl City Fireflies song thats on the radio all the ...

Based on what you said in the other thread it sounds like you're not running any audio patch cables. You said just USB...

You need to carry the audio via 1/4" cables to an audio interface for your computer.

Very cool. Thanks for that.

Is it possible to use the R3 as an autotuner? Ie, apply a minimal effect? Or does it not have enough bands to get close to accurate enough for a 'real' voice?

Do the Microkorg/MS2000 presets for the R3 take advantage?

Do the microkorg and MS2000A/B presets for the R3 take advantage of the R3 MMT and additional fidelity?

Just wonder if they'll sound any better on the R3 than on the microkorg/MS2000 itself or if they don't take advantage of anything extra and sound the same.

Thanks

Any advice on web resources? i know what all the parameter do technically, but i don't have enough experience to know what the technical aspects sound like. if i have something in my head, its random chance i'll ...

Yeh. I do like some of the Microkorg presets. Are the R3 microkorg presets of higher quality than on the microkorg sincie the R3 has MMT and supposedly better fidelity? Or am i working at "microkorg" quality? either way, sounds good to me. Last night i played with the synth on top of a lot of tracks ...

Not feeling the stock R3 presets

Hey guys, I just picked up an R3 as my first hardware synth. It sounds great, but i'd say 75% of these sounds aren't my cup of tea. All i really want in life is a fat rich thick distorty lead sort of sound. like the generic "synth" lead sound, but of nice quality. Also some thick chord sounds sort ...
