If your laptop has a soundcard, then get the right lead, eg 1/4" to 1/4", or 1/4" to 1/8th" & plug the headphone-out of the M50 to the soundcard-in & then install & use Audacity software (free). Adjust the M50 headphone volume to suit. Then u can use a free cd buring software, like exact audio copy ...

Another solution is to get a portable recorder, eg Yamaha Pocketrak, a 1/4" cable, a 1/4female to 1/8"male adapter & record into the ptrak, via the M50's headphone out socket to the ptrak's mic in. Then u simply set the recording gain on the ptrak before recording, enabling peak detection in its ...

Never with the M50-61, latest OS.

I've had it for less than a year though, & don't use it everyday, but when I do use it - I do so for hours + hours. Hopefully you will get this sorted out, if it ever happens to me, I will inform Korg asap!

Sounds to me like you have a workflow problem, in that u don't know what tools / methods work best for you. The short answer would be to try everything out in a store & see what works best. If you already have a DAW then u don't need a workstation. Hwr, I like to have the M50 coz it's a different ...

I understand perfectly, thanks :) I haven't used midiOX for a while, need to reinstall it - It looks kool, even let's u edit sysex! I was wondering if Korg published an even more complete list than what orpheus2006 posted? The manual doesn't say much more than u can record & see sysex msgs in event ...

Thanks for your reply orpheus2006 - This is a v.useful post. I wish there was more information on sysex, especially how to edit sysex. 1 thing I was wondering, there are alot of M50 controls that if you automate in realtime & record in the sequencer, they automatically show up as sysex in Event Edit ...

Load just 1 midi channel in seq mode?

Hi, Is it possible to load 1 midi channel in Sequencer mode, without deleting the the tracks that you already have there? Specifically, I have a song that already has a bass on track2, drums on 3, & just want to load midi channel 1 (of a midi file) to track 1 of the song, while keeping what I ...

My m50 has lots of duplicate patches beginning with b c d e f g etc. I just want To keep the original a patches rather than have all the duplicates that I believe have been downloaded. Hi Bren, First of all, those aren't duplicates that u downloaded. They're the factory patches - Korg decided to ...

While I sympathise that manuals aren't always that good, the OP should seriously reevaluate his attitude - Help has been given, but ignored :?

This is no bug. It has to do with the gate on the end of the IFX-chain. Lowering the treshold should cure the problem. It seems only the drumtrack goes through the gate, not the sine synth-sound. Thanks for the reply Harry, you hit the nail on the head :) Indeed, I didn't think to check the FX ...

Thanks for the reply :) Sorry if my post is unclear, it's about as clear as I could make it! I don't have to redo my beats or anything, I'm just using the default D Bank 54 patch with the default drum track + pattern on. All I wanted to do is lower the volume of the default drum track while playing ...

M50 Bug? [Solved, not a bug]

Hi, I don't know whether this bug is me being new to the M50, but this is what it is:- . In Program mode change the program to D bank, no. 54 (Sine Synth) . In Program mode's P0/Play page go to the Osc/DT Mixer tab . Touch the touchscreen so the drum track's volume slider is selected . Press the ...
