The TR can not play wav files without the sampler expansion. You need to make multisample files in korg format, and to do that you can use Awave Studio. I don't know of any similar programs for mac, but you could use an emulator to run it. But be aware that it's not plug and play! You need to ...

Just finished making a damper pedal with two jacks, and it works like a charm! Everything works much more intuitively this way (to me at least :p). And I still have controll over wich sounds that get effected by the damper by editing the midi settings on each of the synths. It was quite an easy task ...

Thanks for the tips on MIDI-OX kanthos, excelent program. And sorry for being a bit unclear, but you understood exactly what I meant. In combi mode I got the korg to send damper signals on two different channels setting one of the timbres to EXT. Allthough I'm using quite few of the sequence mode ...

Two boards sharing one damper

I've been reading and trying to get my head around this thread by kanthos from another forum. I'm close to getting the setup that I want, but somehow I can't figure out the one thing wich would seem to be the simplest of all. Having one damper pedal sending signals to two separate synths. (And yeah ...

Just remembered. You might wanna watch out for static electricity (if that's what it's called in english :p). Just put your hands in some metal parts on the synth before touching any inside components ;)

I've opened up my TR61 once and imagine it's fairly similar as the 88 with exception on the keypad. When I opened it the keypad was easily detach just unplugging a small wire with just a click. Everything else seemed really well screwed together. You might just wanna be a little carefull with the ...

I believe this is a bug in the software, but I've found a way to save it anyhow. First set the SW buttons to the state you wanna save them in. Then you have to save it as a template song (utility -> save template song) and then load it again. When you save it on a SD card now, the SW states will be ...

Workaround using the TR's seq-mode In sequencing mode, compared to combi, only the selected track (linked with every other sound set to the same channel as the selected track) will make any sound. Ex. you have piano on track 1 set to ch1 and a pad on track 2 set to ch2. When track 1 is selected you ...

Avoiding cutting the sound when changing prog/combi/seq

A lot of people have been asking about the problem with the sound "cutting" when changing program, or especially combi (or seq). I was also annoyed by this when getting my tr61, and spent some time trying to find workarounds. Here are the way I do things when playing live. Workaround using only the ...
