How do you add the portamento effect to a sound. I want to exaggerate the effect a little on the Violin Portamento sound I already have.

I have a pa500, but I'm sure the process is the same with the pa800. Any help is appreciated.

Is it possible to reorganize or move styles from one bank to another? For example.. I have a dance style listed under ballad bank and want to move it to the dance bank. Can this be done?

Will it work for pa500 files as well?

Now that I have the pa500 ORT, I'm not very impressed with some of the preloaded sampled instruments sounds like Ud, Kanoon, and kaman.

Can any one suggest a place I can get good oriental/middleastern sounds?

Hi Basil (belated "welcome to Korg Forums") Select the style you want to copy. Enter "Record Style" mode and simply "write" it to a new location in a USER or FAVORITE bank (without making any changes) - you will then have an exact copy of the style in your USER or FAVORITES bank ready for you to ...

How do I copy an existing style, make changes to it, and save it as a new style with a different name and location.

I've been reading the manual, but not very clear on the process flow.

Hi when you want to change factroy Style/STS, please unlock the write protection before doing. Then you may save over the menu (right top) each STS with new sounds also to factory-styles and customer-styles. With "write style performance" you can save changes of instruments, volumes, etc... Just got my Korg pa500... (very happy with it)...

Is there a way to change current STS settings to the sounds I want to play in a style instead of what's currently saved? I've been reading the manual and haven't figured this out yet.

I just bought a new Korg pa500 ORT (on its way, can't wait), and wondering what the best stereo speaker setup would be. Is it possible to connect regular computer speakers (2.1) like Klipsch or Logitec?
