Been a very long time since I was last here and posting... Hope all are well. :) Hopefully someone can shed some light on this and not conclude that it's either not possible to get round it and/or it's an inherent problem with Kaoss Pads... I have my master output from my laptop running into the KP3 ...

Do you mean to use the KPro's sounds? Or to use it to control a MIDI instrument's sounds? If the former, plug it in like you would plug in any AUDIO device, set the inputs, arm the track, away you go. If the latter, plug it in via USB like you would any other (USB) MIDI device, select the inputs in ...

FYI... KP3 and miniKP are completely different things and, as far as I know, $109 for the miniKP isn't that cheap.

You can set what the default is if you have an SD card. Save all the settings as you want them to be upon power up and save all to slot 0. The card, of course, needs to be inserted when you turn it on.

That's right. The pad responds to CC messages. In fact, three messages are required for one note (X axis value, Y axis value and Pad On).

For notes, a computer is required to mediate. The standard MIDI cable you may have seen was most likely for tempo sync only.
