I have the same issue.l. It is really hard to get rid of with the Radias. I am not sure if using a pedal makes a difference or using the Egs and LFos as it was mentioned before. It is even noticeable when you use automation in a DAW. What I do is try to delete as many automation points as possible ...

Fried PSU or fried Radias?

Hello, I just had a problem with my 3 year old radias and I m wondering if anyone has any experience with something similar. Here is what happened: I simply switched the unit on today. The OS started and then the screen went black and switched off. This was followed by the usual smell of "fried ...

Radias keyboard stand extension

Hello, I was just wondering if anyone has added any extensions to the radias keyboard stand. Are there any "generic" attachments that can give a "second" tier stand for an extra keyboard or other equipment?! So far I have only been able to find either really expensive laptop clip-on add ons or ...

Even the "newer" vintage synths (analog with MIDI) have their audible 8 bits due MIDI. The steps are clearly audible when the filter cutoff is modulated slowly via MIDI CC's and its resonance is set to a high value. God I hate this step "glitch" so much! I wish that they can do something about the ...

What I like with the sound that comes out of the radias is that it almost makes a new 8 bit sound - you get the effect that resembles the 8-bit music but crispier, cleaner and with a really big harmonic range. Obviously the result is different though. I'm with you there! I think radias is ...

this is just a guess but i think if you look at the other korg products of the same generation - m3, kronos, kaoss pad, they run at 24-bit 48khz.. so it might be safe to say that radias does as well. I am a bit of a noob when it comes about bits and hexa's but to my ears the radias sounds a bit more ...

the source from the previous post: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Korg_RADIAS Timo if you spare the time can you elaborate a bit on the relationship between bits and db? I thought that bits and sample rate were determining the resolution of the "produced" waves prior to D/A conversion only

meeehh, from wikipedia "Each DSP chip has up to 600 Millions Multiply-Accumulates Per Second with 16bit fixed point. Which is not to be confused with the audio interface that is a 24 bit processor." all these numbers confuse me.... :) always though it was running at 24 bit 48.000 i guess audio ...

Thanks for the feedback. well I guess i should rename the thread to 24 -bit then :) The inspiration was from 8-bit c64 music and also the techniques i tried to emulate, but i guess you get a different sound with different instruments. and i m pretty happy with the sound i got from the radias ...

o god i hope I didn't offend an 8-bit purist :) I guess i should have named it more like 8-bit style. But anyway this is just a style made with non 8 bit instruments so yes you wont get the gameboy or c64 grittiness. I did use quite a bit of the waveshaping on the radias and tried to emulate the ...

8-bit on the radias.. well more likely 24 -bit

I just wanted to share these two 8-bit style tracks made on the radias. They were made for a game related presentation at siggraph last year ... http://soundcloud.com/f-circuit/wackanoid-c64 http://soundcloud.com/f-circuit/wackanoid-lowfi Both tracks where recorded straight from the radias with no ...

any thoughts?

Hello, I just found this blog post, through the vintage synth radias section
It was interesting so I though I share...according to this guy the radias might not be using real-time synthesis in few osc modes? any thoughts on this?
