Kaoss pad question

Is there a way on this to change the gate on the right-hand kaos pad so that it doesn't trigger the note on each of the sixteen beats? Not sure i'm explaining the right, but i'd like to hold my finger on the pad and have it play quarter notes or half notes instead of sixteenth notes. Like what the ...

New Album Recorded on Kaossilator Pro

For those who are interested, I've recorded another album using the Korg Kaossilator Pro. Also uses a Mini-KP and a Yellow K.

Recorded to Korg SoS and mastered in Reaper.

I'd totally buy the KoPro. I don't know much about music either and I've recorded all kinds of stuff that I like using it.

It's cool because you don't need any existing musical experience - just a good ear.

It's more expensive in the end, and pretty much still requires a computer - but I really, really like the Korg SoS recorder. Main advantage is that it's very portable, extremely easy to use, and includes a really good microphone for vocal/field recording as well as a guitar input. I think it's just ...

KP3 effects vs Mini-KP

Are the effects possible with a KP3 the same as the ones on the Mini-KP?

Is that true (Garage band can't play back what you're playing while it records it)? If that's true - and you have to use headphones on the KPro to hear what you're doing - how do you listen to the existing audio tracks in Garage band to overdub them? Like, if I lay down a drum pattern into a track ...

I'm doing a lot of sending the KOPro through a Mini-KP effects pad into the Korg SoS, undoing as needed until I record a sound I like.

I think you could then take those "perfect" .wav files and reload them as samples or load them into your computer, etc...

I don't notice significant volume differences - but I leave the program volume knob at about half way. Does that make a difference?

You should be able to use the speaker output from the computer which probably needs a 3.5mm Mini Plug to RCA type cable.

You probably can't use the mic input from the line-out on the computer without it being clipped.

Another new KO-PRO album

I finished another album recorded on the K-PRO (with a little yellow KO1 thrown in). Details are here: http://dmachinemusic.blogspot.com/ 98% of it is recorded with the KO-PRO going through a mini-KP into an SoS multitrack recorder. I'm really liking the setup because it's so portable and I can ...

I've recorded a couple albums worth of music on the KO-Pro (with a little yellow KO1 thrown in). I'm using the SoS recorder and mini-kp as well and the whole system is is so portable and easy to use that recording comes very naturally and quickly. There's some features of the KO-Pro I really like ...

Yes, just loading the shortcut set is a lot quicker - 5-10 seconds maybe.

You can export straight into a computer and there's KORG software to manipulate what you export, but I've never used it.

FSYS ERR 38 15 F3

Was there ever any kind of info on this error. I had a 32GB kingston card that would give this error. Couldn't make that card work and went back to the one that came with the SoS. Card was fine otherwise and now resides in a digital picture frame with no issues...

Love the SoS otherwise though.

I'm not an expert in all of this, but here's what I know: You can play other sound sources into the K-Pro and either record them into a loop bank or just play over them. That source can be the microphone or the line in - there's a switch between the two sources so you can have both hooked up and ...
