I’m real happy with the Motu M4, it’s a great interface & I highly recommend it. I bought a couple of Midi Fighter Twister controllers because I think if I do the softsynth route, it’ll be much more functional & enjoyable with knobs & faders. The gigs I do can almost always provide keyboards, so if I ...

I'm about to do the same thing. I'm going to use the host GigPerformer, so still learning it. If you want to do even more fancy layering, something like Unify is worth looking into, which I'm also doing. Kronos is currently on sale where I am, but still I'm not pulling the trigger thinking I can ...

If you can spare $299 during this pandemic, I suggested you take advantage of the sale on korg collection 3. It isn't like you're gonna get a cheaper upgrade path when (if) you finally get that ported over. They added enough to the original that it will be worth it. (for me not so clear cut since I ...

Need parts...lost plastic dome that protects the tube

Does Korg have a parts department I can just call to order the part, like Roland? Or like yamaha's website where you can just find the part online and order it? I got my extreme from the USA and am not really sure about the dealer network here in the Philippines.

I'm not sure getting a 2nd unit and storing it for backup purposes is such a good idea. I know that I get problems with a lot of my gear when they haven't been used in quite awhile. I thought most electronic gear are like that...they need to be used.

umm, first of all, I think it's a fantastic product and I wish all the success in the world. But...you might want to seriously rethink the graphics aspect of it before releasing the product. No, I'm no artist, and yes, aesthetics are of course subjective. But as mentioned by other posters, the ...

hmm, interesting. Thanks for the heads up. I hope korg can shed some light into this if it's true. My mr1 will be arriving tomorrow. :D The price on these things came down enough that it's a must-buy. Can't wait to start using it.

Anyone try a new ext dvd drive with Extreme?

I wouldn't mind being able to use one of the new lightscribe ext dvdrw writers for both my computers and the Extreme. Anyone know for sure it works, since most of them are dvd and usb 2.0 (does this matter?).

This is for loading my Akai sample libs into the Extreme of course, not burning.

This is good to see...I was just thinking about the need to start using samples with my extreme. It would make it that much more effective in live performances, even if it's just a couple of good samples (like a decent oboe, and maybe orch strings).

You know, I highly doubt the Legacy edition are cash cows for Korg. I could just imagine the KLC team pleading earnestly to their scowling superiors to keep putting money into future developments for the products. Then the bosses saying, yeah, but look how much money we're STILL making with the ...

Is a dongle so bad? I just recently needed to use an iLok, and now the synchrosoft because of KLC-DE, and the only big problem I have with it is it scares me. Like what happens if I lose it. But as far as giving me grief in daily use, it doesn't. The challenge/response is a much bigger hassle for me ...

Why did you decide on Synchrosoft? Especially since you'll be doing RTAS, PTmpowered and its plugs are all iLok. I even remember having both connected caused some serious problems (might be resolved already). Anyway, I really hope there isn't an extra fee for the RTAS.

Thanks Jerry. I myself am more patient since I bought my MacBook Pro fully expecting software to arrive in a pain fully slow manner, and that it certainly has. I did it anyway since Ableton Live and Stylus RMX were quick out of the gate (main reason I bought Live). But folks, Korg isn't the only ...
