The answer is no, you can't adjust the date/time on the PA800. The real time clock hardware and software needed for this functionaliy just wasn't included in the PA800, it has no cocept of the current date and time. Even though it contains a file system it has no way to tag the files with a date ...

The PA800 does not contain a real time clock like your bog standard PC, therefore has no concept of the current time. This is a real shame as any file you create on the PA800 always has the same date/time stamp. Therefore, if you're concerned about sorting files on the time of their creation, you ...

When you have performed your search and are presented with a list of results, instead of just left clicking on search result, try right clicking and choosing "open in a new browser". This opens the page in a new instance of your browser, which you can subsequently close and see your original search ...

Guitar Mode

Thanks very much for your prompt reply. Sorry I am still unclear about how to do this. Do I need to transpose the keyboard down using the octave button to access the C1 ~ B1 octave and do I enter velocity by being in the "Overdub step recording" mode and setting the velocity for each chord I enter ...

Guitar mode

Could somebody explain the paragraph on page 119 of the PA800 manual headed "Chosing a Key/Chord". It says : "You can also enter a chord progression. This is done with the lowest MIDI octave (C-1 ~ B-1). Chord types are inserted by using velocity, as shown in the following table" There then follows ...

I have a freezing issue with the PA800. It's when I am in song play mode and use the "lyrics Score" tab to see the musical notation for a particular track in the midi song I have loaded. It has frozen and can't use any feature of the keyboard until I turn off and on again. Does anybody know why this ...

We all appreciate the great work that Sharp does to provide this forum for us and it is a great forum. It just could be that much better for want of a good search facility. This is powered by phpBB so it's those guys that I'm really talking about.

Thanks for your response and I apologise if my message appeared a little crusty. I wasn't seeking a solution just an opinion on why the velocity control feature was like this, bit frustrated really that I can't use it the way I wanted to. Thanks again for your response.

It may well be the standard search engine for phpBB forums, but that doesn't disqualify it from being the worst search facility I have ever tried to use. It's a real shame, this is such a good forum yet made unusable by the search engine.

Well that's not really an answer. Any other computer system, and that's what this is, that deals with file systems will have the facility of time stamping files. How can the Korg developers be so remiss on this. Not to be able to see the chronology of file creation is a huge problem, how could they ...

I agree with synthjoe

If there is one application where you need a decent search facility, then it is in a discussion group like this. If the thread you're interested in has only a few messages, then fine, but the one I'm intersested in has hundreds, am I really expected to trawl through every one, get serious. To ...

Why does every file created by PA800 have the same date/time

You can create several types of file from the PA800 and save them to SSD user section, attached flash memory device or a hard disk drive. However when I do this the newly created file always has the same date/time stamp, eg "11-12-08 17:21". Why is this, why does the PA800 have no concept of the ...
