Thank you CDA, for responding. Yes, the modifications I make to the patches are no longer lost during playback :)

Recording and control surface settings

Hi Everyone I am using the M50’s sequencer to record a song. After selecting a track and patch, I would modify the patch using the control surface knobs ( I mainly use the EG Release knob so that the patch would have some sustain effect) The modifications to the patches are there during recording, ...

I have been cursing too. Korg promoted the M50 as a keyboard suitable for live performances, stating that patches can be easily located. Since that is the case, smooth patch transition should have been one of its features. This is not breakthrough technology as it has been around for at least a ...

I agree with you totally, Mr.Green. I find it difficult to play live with just the M50 because of this limitation. My 10 year old Yamaha PSR 1000 does it reasonably well. Hi StudioMan (Mike) In one of your posts, dated 19 Nov 2008. you had responded to a question on smooth, flawless switching of patches on the M50. You said that you were able to do so with combi patches as well and that you used the M50 for live gigs. When I switch combis the sound just cuts off and ...

Hi Guys and Gals Thanks for responding to my post. And Somnambulist, thanks for the suggestion. Sounds a little difficult, but I will give it a try. But I do feel that the Korg guys could have put a little bit more thought into this. It would have been great if they had provided a set of buttons ...

Switching sounds during live performance

Hi Everyone I got myself an M50 about a month ago and am having fun with it. I have been using a Yamaha PSR 1000 for live performances and while playing in church. With the Yamaha, when it comes to switching sounds, I can play a certain sound - for instance - 'strings' and select 'brass' while ...
