The PA3x is pretty damn cool and powerful. But I would like to see a graphical, block style, editor for song mode kind of like the main screen in Band In A Box. I would like to see the chords and variations and fills indicated in a grid. The step editor is pretty hard to get your brain into ...

Yes handling of divisi sections is important. Consider a string section sound of, say, 25 players sampled. You play a single note melody line and it sounds fine since each note is this recording of 25 players. But the problem is when you start to play more than one note. Play a second note of ...

Band in A Box type interface?

One thing I have always wanted to see, and what could be possible in an iPad interface is a nice and simple "Band in a Box type" interface for inputting chords in your tune. That is, a page with maybe 4 measures per line where we can type in and edit our chords, select the variation, select a fill ...

The PA1x could temporarily load and play a Style from Hard Drive. I wonder why the PA3x can't. Seems like a big step backwards.

How about simply being able to select ANY drum sound when setting the Kick and Snare in Style mode (not just the few predetermined). With hundreds of great drums, this is a very silly limitation that is a carryover from decades ago. How about a simple Quantize Strength parameter and Quantize Swing ...

The softsynths that come with Apple's Logic are wonderful in that they can be resized simply by dragging the lower right corner of the window. Works really great! When you are editing you make 'em big and access to the knobs and buttons is easy. Also it reduces eye strain in long work sessions.

I've never understood the concept behind making user interfaces so damn small. I swear you have 4 pixels to click on for some things! It is so difficult to work with many softsynths. Even the Kronos has many things that are just too small to accurately touch on reliably every time.

Thanks Ed, I am sure the Joystick can be recorded as Midi data and played back in a Midi sequence. What I am asking is if the Joystick movement can be recorded as a vector and saved inside the Patch (like on the Yamaha TG33). This would be amazingly expressive and would quickly transform and ...

Is there a way to record the Joystick Vector Movement?

Is there a way to record the Kronos Joystick vector movements like on the old Yamaha TG33 as part of the patch? Being able to record the joystick movement you make and then triggering that movement with each note you play would be quite powerful... I am asking if this is possible to do in realtime ...

I agree, Pete. The PA3x working alongside the Kronos is astounding. I can make music for an eternity with them.

I have found a few factory Combis in the Kronos that have a bit of unwanted overload distortion in them when you play chords in a certain pitch range. When I get a chance I will try to go through and make a list.

I agree that the drum and percussion in many of the Programs and Combis is too loud.

Although the Kronos is for the most part superior as a synth, the PA3x has some synthesis features which are, for some reason, not included in the flagship Kronos series... The PA3x has DNC which is extremely powerful for creating realistic legato acoustic sounds. The PA3x has additional sample ...

No Dan. Sorry, but the manually adjusted X88 played perfectly with no invoked Aftertouch unless the keys were pressed as would be expected. I actually do know what I am talking about... I will leave it at that. I think my point has been clearly made about a need for a revision in the Aftertouch ...
