I would love a mouse and external monitor functionality on the Kronos. I was poking around the innards of my Kronos and noticed that there actually is a VGA port on the mobo. It would be the bomb if we could use it.

Got my Kronos back yesterday

After almost 4 months I finally got it back. I did not get a new keybed and it still bounces on some keys. On the up side, however, I have not had any note cut offs. The super-weird thing is that now it is out of tune. By about a minor third. If someone knows a magical place on the Kronos that ...

I'm in the same boat. It's been over 2 months now. I'd complain loudly--if I hadn't forgotten to take out the aftermarket fan. Duh.

It's not their fault though, if they don't have the parts. Good thing I didn't sell my Triton.

Just listened to the samples. When my Kronos gets back from having the keybed fixed, Korg has itself a sale.

Well, after scouring the Internet, it appears that the problem is with Soundblaster cards (XFi and Audigy)

They can receive word clock properly through S/PDIF in, but they have send issues and they cannot be slaved. Too bad for me. Thanks to all who replied.

S/PDIF IN distortion issue

Having problems with bringing a signal into the Kronos through S/PDIF. It seems to come in really loud and has a bit of digital distortion with it. I've tried: - lowering the input volume. Distortion still there - input from a different source (different computer). Distortion still there. - changing ...

If you read the manual, it will tell you that you are most susceptible to distortion with the 48 dB setting. You should lower it to prevent distortion.

The unfortunate part about the keys hitting the rail is that the keys can shift with a rough bump in shipping. I had the same issue when I received my keyboard new and fixed it by loosening all the large screws on the bottom of the Kronos, pushing the keybed in a little, and then retightening the ...

So nobody's using the Korg USB for audio?

I did manage to get sound from the Korg coming through USB to my sound card with about a third-of-a-second delay, though the sound quality was atrocious. The games continue.

So let me get this straight...

So according to the pittance of info I found, the Kronos will work as work as a sound card--but only output sound though it's USB cable... is that correct?

Anybody having luck using the Kronos this way with Sonar?

No, it is independent of the damper pedal.

I did some more testing on the weekend and it does not seen to be the exciter/enhancer; the hiss is still there with all effects off. Did anyone try it?

Having problems with hiss in sound I created

To help me learn the Kronos, I have created a Kronos version of the Triton Romance piano. Here it is (the file includes the whole UG bank, I don't know how to save just one sound) http://www.freefilehosting.net/tritonromancepiano I'm happy with it overall except for the hiss you get when you play a ...

Would it be safe to say that the relationship between heat and heat transference is fairly linear? For example: The Kronos is specified to operate at ambient temperatures up to 35°C. If I know that I will never operate my Kronos at temperatures above 25°C, could I find the maximum operating t ...

I'm Canadian-- I was done waiting after 4 months and picked mine up in the States. Wow. I guess it isn't totally 100% awesome to be Canadian. Close, though.
