How to export Gadget projects to another iPad

How to export Gadget projects to another iPad I haven't seen this document anywhere, including The Friendly Manual, but you can do this with iTunes File Sharing. (If you don't know how to use iTunes File Sharing, Google it: you will find better tutorials that way than I can write here.) Go to the ...

Change sync pulse to 16th notes instead of 8th?

I'd like my Beats to trigger the arpeggiator on some old gear. It will send 8th notes (1 pulse every two steps) but I'd like to 16th notes (1 pulse/1 step). I've thought of a couple workarounds, but I bought the Beats (in part) for the immediacy. Does anyone know of a secret handshake that will ...

There is a workaround for this bug. Instead of double-clicking on the VCA square, click on the "Zoom MS-20" button at the top of the app, which will make the control panel full-screen. From there, click on the "patch panel" button in the lower-right hand corner.

@dswo: How does your iPad 2 behave with other apps after installing iOS 7? Is it significantly slower, os more or less the same as iOS 6? The reason I ask is I heard some complaints about more sluggish performance on iOS 7, so I'm reluctant to upgrading myself. But if he new iOS 7.1 presents no ...

iOS 7.1 update makes iMS-20 crash when opening patch bay

Since the update to iOS version 7.1, Korg's iMS-20 app (v1.6.3) crashes when you open the patch bay (by double-clicking on the "voltage controlled amplifier" square). I learned about this from another user, and confirmed it on my iPad 2 and iPad Air.

I'm tossing up between getting a Volca Bass or an ipad and the MS20 app, but I'd rather stay analog not to mention I don't like the idea of playing an ipad on stage... I've had the Volca Bass since October and like it a lot. But there are a LOT of fantastic synth apps for the iPad right now, beyond ...

The Volcas can receive MIDI notes, but can't send them.* This is why your DAW is not receiving notes from the Volca's sequencer. *I haven't done this, but if you look around on the net, you'll find that some people are adding MIDI out to their Volcas by soldering three wires onto the main board. So ...

I have Bass and Beats. Both of my units were fine. That does NOT mean there are no defects; there are. I just wouldn't want someone reading this forum to think, "Oh no, they are all broken!" and pass because of that. It's been said already, but it bears repeating (and maybe specifying): if you have ...

The two channels have exactly the same signal. Stereo-to-stereo will sound just like stereo-to-mono-out-of-two-speakers.

Undocumented feature: LFO beat sync for Bass

TJ Porter has discovered that function + LFO rate will sync the LFO to your clock (bpm) rate.

Additional info: Found out that when you put in the step sequence with an external Midi-Keyboard via Midi, volca bass stores also differences in how hard you strike the keyboard (velocity) - that means you can now fully programm your volca bass with TB303 Patterns including ties, slides AND accent ...

Maybe I misunderstood him, but I believe when chris-korg said ties he really meant slurs. On the Volcas, you enter these in slide edit mode.

These are not really ties but slurs (or, in step sequencer language, slides). See http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tie_(music) and http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Slur_(music)
