Yep. Boo. It took me a year to determine that the ipad could replace most of my hardware devices, but for a quick second I thought I might have to buy another piece of hardware - and I surely would have if at least a few of our concerns had been addressed. But no, just a facelift and some dubstep ...

you could:
Jailbreak and use iFile.
Use iFunbox and a PC (no jailbreak required).

Good luck!

Also, a thing called Quasar exists, and is great for audio apps, although not perhaps for everyday use.

Maybe an iPad? Its a little tricky to get audio in & out (try a powered usb hub and any interface), but Beatmaker is an excellent sampler, and Loopy is an amazing looper. Mount it on a music stand, throw it in a mixer bag, and you'll have a lot of audio power that's quite portable. If you use a ...

The wild west days of the internet seem to be coming to a close. To be replaced by a sanitized corporate vision akin to cable tv. I went to snag the pdf offered by Maarten20, but was greeted by a jpg stating: (edit: hmmm - the image disappeared! Ok, it basically said "Everyone associated with this ...

Want Background Audio? JB!

And I don't mean Jenson Button! Korg seems always to stop one or two steps shy of perfection, and their apps are no exception. As a huge fan of the Kpro I was equally excited by the iKaossilator, but discouraged that it could not continue playing while backgrounded. Then I stumbled across a Youtube ...

Oh well. Never mind. After poking around further on the forum I see that this is well known to be broken, and cannot function properly. Bogus.

If midi sync between your gizmos is important to you you may wish to investigate the Electro Harmonix 2880. The RC300 has midi too, but the previous incarnation was massively flawed in its implementation, I'd read what others experiences have been before relying on it. The gold standard for good ...

(Never mind . . .) KP3 internal sync to imported wavs?

Hi! I'm having a perplexing issue that perhaps someone around here has figured out previously - I have no problems with drift if I sample in real time a drum loop, all samples added after the initial drums line up fine and do not drift over time, but if I load the exact same loop via the editor ...

I love the KPro arp slider myself . . . Think of the K01 arps as the rhythm guitar type parts, and the KPro arps as a great expressive tool for lead guitar type parts, with slurs and trills and hammer ons and pull offs and staccato machine gunnery! Tons of fun, and infinite. And yes, guitar was my ...

They haven't mentioned loop duration yet. Probably because it's embarrassingly short. New sounds, old features, anemic looping. I hope I'm wrong.

You could snag a used microSampler (most of them are used and for sale at this point, lol!) and load it up with samples of real drums (loops) - thats suits the "rock" aspect, and can really be a lot of fun. 36 loops per bank, 7 banks. Great audio quality and some really nifty effects. Cheap, too.

Thanks very much for your replies. It seems that most of us who wish to use this thing in unusual ways have moved on . . . Korg definitely missed a trick by failing to include auto loop. I am not quite ready to claim success, but after messing with the midi files in ableton (for days), and importing ...
