After 3 whole months, I have my M50 back and it appears to be working correctly again.
It appears the main problem was lack of replacement parts in my case.

Update: Finally, a "new part" was found and installed in the keyboard. Apparently, that part was faulty and a new part has been ordered and in transit. The repair tech also spent some time talking with a Korg tech about the problem. So, as it stands now, waiting for another part and will see if it ...

Today the dealer contacted someone higher up the food chain (Korg distributor, I believe)and it turns out the problem with the repair shop was that they couldn't get the replacement part. I'm not sure why this wasn't communicated sooner, but nonetheless we've got another party involved in the search ...

Warranty Repair Time
I bought a M50 last year and had it about 2 months and the audio outputs went out. The dealer contacted Korg Warranty service and sent it off for repair. So far I have been about 2 months without a keyboard. I guess the question is how long is a "reasonable" time to expect to receive a fixed ...
