A line 6 M9 would work well, it’s a stompbox modeller with three slots that you can any of its hundred or so effects in any order, which makes it much more flexible than traditional guitar multi-effect units. It’s got MIDI out (and in) so you could synch effects with the Beats, and it’s got inputs fo ...

Article: Hands on with Korg's <150$ Volcas
"He’s not a household name. But Tatsuya Takahashi is the man from Korg’s development group behind instruments you almost certainly know. Starting with the first Korg monotron, followed by the Monotribe, monotron DUO and monotron DELAY, Takahashi has been standards bearer to a legacy of Korg str ...

This looks like a false alarm. The Smart Media versions, EMX-1 and ESX-1, are listed on the Korg Japan discontinued page: http://www.korg.co.jp/Product/Discontinued/ But they were discontinued when the SD versions, EMX-SD and ESX-SD, were released a couple of years ago. If you run Syncontrol without pluging anything into your iPod touch do you hear a metronome like clicking? If so then the software is working, it's a very simply control signal with each click triggering the next step. When it's plugged into the Monotribe try turning up the volume of the iPod touch ...

Free monotron with a monotribe (UK store)
The UK based online store Production-room.com are offering a free Monotron when you buy a Monotribe for £169 until 24/12/2011

I haven't got any connection with the store, I'm just trying to resist the temptation.
