working from memory here but I believe load all is to load an ESX file, not all samples. BUT, go look for the program Open Electribe Editior, which will allow you to create and ESX file easily and load up a bunch of your samples into it at once. you can also use the editor to set things like ...

I also used a 9.6V battery pack for RC cars to power my original electribes, Just Velcro it to the bottom. It would run one for hours and hours, two obviously less but it did work. It wasn't something I ever really used a lot though, but some people just seem to think everything should be battery ...

I bought an EA-1 not long after their release. It was my introduction to 'analogue' synthesis. It is a very basic synth, but, as with the ER-1, when you perform on it while it plays you can get some interesting effects. Personally, I love the sound it makes, though limited, it's a great little box ...

From my recollection, at least some of the DX to smart media adaptors work. But....you can not, if I recall correctly ever have more than 9 save files, and these can never have more than 99 samples.and the card is just storage, it doesn't give you any more "memory" to use in the machine. In any ...

When you sample in the sample menu, you need to edit the sample and save it. Then go to a pattern and assign the sample to wherever you want it there. In the sample menu every pad will play the selected sample. If you want to use it as a stretch you must set the stretch steps, as a slice you must ...

Do you also notice a gap in pattern chain mode? I have never been quite sure if it is the way the patterns are implemented or if it is a hardware/software glitch. I haven't notice any in my pattern changes for a while now. But you can hear what appear to be gaps on the soundcloud demos they have on ...

Sounds like you've got it all right. If you find the blank ESX file floating around the Internet and load it, you will have a completely blank machine from which to start your journey. If you can't find it I have one somewhere I can upload. I always like to start from scratch on machines like this ...

I'm more the pattern set type!

I would not expext korg to even respond to any request forupdates on such an old unit, just look at the wall of silence on the E2/e2S...

Just go get some other sequencer to be a master. MMT-8's are dirt cheap.

The tribes weren't really meant to be aster controllers as you want, they will only send a fixed PC message for the pattern, on two banks. A1-A64 and B1-B64 are bank 0, and C1-C64 and D1-D64 are bank 1, if I recall correctly. Never use song mode so I'm not sure about that issue but it sounds like ...

So it appears to work? I never owned an EM-1, does it always do that thing at the begining where it counts up the pads? The ES-1 does this when you load a new save file or sample, smae for ESX/EMX. does it do that every time you turn it on now? It looks like it came up in 3/4 time signature. thats ...

how many sigs do u think it will take for Korg to acknowledge this? Also how many sigs did the Dave Smith petition get? If memory serves, it was 600. I hope we can get 1k. A lot of people have avoided even buying these because of the issues, I imagine they'll sign it too. I am one of those. I'll ...

The two are pin compatible with most lay similar ratings, but not identical. I'm not skilled enough with SMPS to say wether the differences would matter. I can find the original part on eBay, why not just try that? Otherwise, I'd be willing to try the substitute, it can't be that expensive.
