Re: Korg Kronos - what next?

I dread the day my Kronos dies. As far as I can tell, there is no replacement as capable as this machine. I have unrealBook dialing up sounds via wireless MIDI and it's FAST. A band I play in, has tons of layering/splits, very fast song transitions and the Kronos handles it like a beast. I use all ...

I guess then can now add the new arp and drum sequencer functions on a kronos software upgrade... :-p No keyboard aftertouch just kills a lot of expression. The dinamic button does nothing a kronos can't already, just puts it on a hardware button. This would make way much more sense as a rack with ...

I just wish they added the monopoly on this one from day one but it probably lacks the CPU... it's now probably easier to have a full kronos gadget on an iPad....

The engines in kronos are quite realistic.
Pitty it misses the monopooy.

AL1 with free drift and random phase play and no aliasing is amazing if programmed well. As analog as they come.

Had this sample sync problem a couple times, sounding robotic, went away with reboot. Thanks for sharing AMR. Curious if the "robotic" sound was the same as Stephen's sames posted few posts above? R Yes. But slightly worse. For a moment thought it was the DAW's soundcard having a fit, but no. All ...

24/7 for four years is almost 35,000 power-on hours...the internal cooling fan must be reaching the end of its life - most good ones are rated for around 30,000 POH (there are a few longer-life ones like the Nanoxia Deep Silence that is rated at 80,000) but the original KRONOS fan doesn't look like ...

I have noticed after extended uptime (like a week) the Kronos can get a little "Wonky" at times. so you leave your Kronos powered up for a week ? I don't have an opinion about that. curious if after 4 years of ownership, what is the wear factor on components if left on like that Mine has been on ...

Re: OS 3.0.2 is slower than 2.1.2.

OS 3.0.2 is slower than 2.1.2. Even off "Lever Meter" and "String Resonance", while I change window or select another tab, or just start sequencer...Kronos displays momentary stop. Is this issue only for first Kronos user?? Makes some sense since the OS now monitors for more screen events (touch vs ...

I'm a Kronos early adopter.
No problems.

Keybed was replaced by Korg.
Kronos 2 is a mear facelift, perfectly sensible in (perpetuating) the product's lifecycle.

Perhaps it would be useful if everyone who posts their temperature states whether they have one or two ssd's and which fan they're using ;-) 2 SSD's. 88 Keys. Constantly runs between 69-72 Celsius. 24h a day, 7 days a weak, 52 weeks per year, ever since late 2011. No sweat, no reboots, ocasionally ...

Peak traffic. *Wow* :-)
Gave it some more (considerable) throttle. Reload the page (if cached) and it should work.

Instant JM Jarre: V3.0.2 "Vintage" FX, Oxygene Pad

Hello, In good Christmas spirit and to share the joy of the V3 upgrade, here's a celebration of what now can also be done easy with a Korg Kronos, thanks to globally accessible Vintage Effects. None other than Jean Michel Jarre's typical spatial pads. It's free, only condition is that you do and ...
