Re: dead switches

I do not recommend spraying DeOxit into it. First, the tac switch is covered by the button. Little to no DeOxit will make it into the switch. Also, using more pressure to make it work will stress the button and can break it. In my experience, replacing the switches is the answer. It's a pain but ...

Your button problem is likely the switch contacts under each button. They should be replaced. As for easy...not really. Due to how modern keyboards are built, getting to these switches is major disassembly. They are located on circuit boards that are fastened to the front panel. Then, there are ...

There should have been created a Pad Ho_userbank.ksc. That version streams off the SSD rather than loading the entire sample into RAM.

The Kronos always transmits the Global channel. I set my global to ch16 and use the lower channels without having the global channel show up when not wanted.

I use drones all the time. My solution was this. If the drone is short or moderate in length, I can set the ADSR settings for it to stop on its own. Secondly, I always assign the drone sounds to the Vector Volume and +Y. That way, any drones sounding that I need to stop I can pull the Vector ...

I was also disappointed with the Kronos 61 initially. Now, I'm fine with it. You're right about the Yamaha FS keybed. Likely the best action for synths ever made. Sadly, Yamaha stopped making it some time ago. Likely too expensive. I wish it could be an option. This price for the competitive keybed ...

To me, the value of the Kronos is using it live. I can build sounds by sampling, or through layers that are fantastic. The streaming of huge sounds still not available in other keyboards. I take the K61 and an 88-note controller and have all I need to play. The set list is awesome. I can make notes ...

I used to do this for backing tracks but in Combi mode. One thing to be aware of, playing along with the tracks can possibly cause the tracks to stop playing if polyphony limits are reached. (Note Stealing) It happened to me a few times over several years so not often. You can prioritize the tracks ...

In Global, first page, look for Mute Mode. You can set it to Studio or Live. Setting it to studio will have muted timbers playing in the background. Setting it to Live will have muted voices disabled.

Consider putting a fan on it blowing into the back vents. That will help diminish any condensation helping it to evaporate.

This is likely not the answer but I have found that my pads go unresponsive if I set the Control Assign buttons from Tone Adjust to EXT. I use an external MIDI device for my Hammond Organ sound (iPad) and had to change the Control Assign to EXT in order to get the drawbars etc. to work. That ...

I'm not familiar with the Korg Plug Key but it looks like an audio/MIDI interface for the IOS device. It has an audio output on it so you can plug a cable from that to the audio inputs on the Kronos so the music and what you play will both come from the Kronos outputs. MIDI wouldn't be needed as far ...

Short answer...yes.
Most pitchshifters will sound odd with that much pitch change. You can get by with a simitone or two. More than that will have audio artifacts.
