Well, looks the Korg Grandstage prototype holds new farfisa and vox continental engines... Nice! I would love to have those on the Kronos as well.

This prototype surely misses 9 sliders/drawbars by the way ( preferable with led indication like the oasys had).

Should work als far als I can tell, as long as you're comfortable running mono signal from your Kronos in your P1. I prefer stereo. That's why I'm using a small mixer for wired IEM. I'm mixing Main L/R of the K and a XLR input with total band mix (vocals in your case). Out 1/2 from the K is going to ...

How many voices can be layered for live performance? Can the eight sliders adjust 8 different voice volumes during live play? In combination mode you can layer up to 16 programs (patches, sounds, or 'voices' if you will). And yes, you can use the 8 sliders to control volume. Also these is a button ...

The Kronos USB midi driver certainly is compatible with win7 64 bit. I don't know how it has to be configured in Cubase, since I'm working on Sonar X3 64 bit. Now on a Win 8.1 environment but on Win 7 before (all 64bit). I'm sure other members can help you on the Cubase config. Also search threads ...

If I remember correctly, this poll was done on facebook as well. It would be interesting to see the results and differences, but I guess this is up to R&D and marketing at Korg. Anyway, given the results and the discussions on this forum on DAW integration versus workstation enhancement (or ...

Same goes for me with a kronos 73, no worries.

I owned M3-88, which I used mainly for live gig. Very good instrument, I loved working with it. I used Karma for smooth sound change within in a combi. Nice workaround, but still a workaround. The biggest advantage of Kronos for live purpose, in my case, is the setlist option with SST. Now I can ...

Great, I don't mind switching and programming but the simpler the better, live. Thx!

Only 'internal' transpose?

At our service in church I'm playing a Yamaha Avant Grand together with my Kronos. I'm using the Yamaha piano midi out to connect the kronos, using the yamaha piano sound with e.g. pad sound on the Kronos. Midi capabilities on the Yamaha are very basic. 'Local off' can be done, but isn't that ...

As Sander explains, it's depending on budget and application and last but not least: personal taste. Many people find SM58 to be a top mic for vocals indeed. I like Audix OM2 as well for vocal applications. But I'm recently experimenting with Sennheiser E935 and AKG D7, more expensive but they hold ...

I bought a 73 key Kronos, mainly for my gigs, easy to handle. I'm a pianist, used to the 88 keys. I have a acoustic piano at home which I mainly use for study. Sometimes on stage I'm missing my lower keys :D . And indeed the splits and zones must be setup tight. So I do like the 73 keybed but when I ...

Win8 sucks, 8.1 is supposedly a bit better. It's certainly fast from what I've seen. But 7 still works great for me! Win8.1 works fine for me. Stable, fast, reliable. OK, you have to get used to this user interface, metro style. I do have touch screens on my laptop and DAW PC, that helps. But the ...

Nice trick, using setlist as some sort of reporting tool :) . It might come in handy when programming sounds without computer and kronos editor.

Now to get that M3 calibrated again as the touch screen has become iffy. But the M3 had it's issues, too. When I first bought mine, it was the first Korg I got since my 01/w. I was shocked at how different (read cheap) it felt by comparison. To me, the Kronos has always seemed more solid than the I ...
