Another vote for QSC K10s.

FWIW, as a new K owner I have gone with QSC 10s and I love 'em. They are handling the K through one channel on each speaker and my guitar (via a Boss GT5) through the other with plenty of room to spare. True stereo is bliss.

Just for the record, I have experienced the same issue.
