Thanks BobTheDog and MoonMusic for your concern. My problem was that the midnam file generated by the editor didn't work and trying to change patches from Kronos was useless since ProTools never saved the patches... Anyway, I did solve it myself (with some help) after numerous edited midnam files ...

The Kronos Editor ver 2 does create midnam files for Pro Tools, Sonar ins-files and Cubase patch lists but... Unfortunately the midnam file doesn't work in Pro Tools 10 Doesn't work in Pro Tools 9 either

Just bought Pro Tools and experience a lot of difficulties with my Kronos. Finally got midi to and from PT and Kronos. Now I want to see the names of the patches. Sorry, just found out that the Kronos Editor 2 autogenerates midnam-files.
However the file doesn't seem to work with Pro Tools 10

I'd love it if you'd pick up this idea again. Reason is that the Kronos plugin for DAWs only allows for one instance of the instrument. I use Pro Tools and want to use the sounds from my Kronos working in midi.

Finally got it working myself
Seems the issue was to start with disabling the Windows UAC.
Then I could set upp my workstation in the Midi Studio.
Choose a triton-rack since no Kronos definitions are available,
then setting up the midi ins and outs and hey presto everything works
