I think this is a bug (its certainly not a feature). When playing manual bass, if you raise the octave of the bass (so that you dont have stupidly low notes), when you turn off manual bass and start playing the style normally again, the bassline now plays up the octave too! Now whilst this might not ...

Thanks for the reply Reuben, more like an 8 string bass though! Seems daft. your right, the reason they have overlooked this is that in a 61 note model it would be a non issue, but they have the pa2x pro, and pa3x so this is crazy Its the most unprofessional oversight I have ever seen on a keyboard ...

Changing Octave on bass of pa800 without affecting style
I need to raise my manual bass part by an octave, which I can do in the tuning screen. The problem is that when I do this and stop playing manual bass, the style plays the bass groove an octave higher. I was driving my pa800 from a 76 note and noticed this problem. Well, I have switched to a PA3x ...

changing octave of manual bass...flabbergasted!
Hi, I recently purchased a PA3X, upgrading from a PA800. One of the main reasons for this upgrade is that I like to play a lot of manual bass and 76 keys is great for that. However, when I go into manual bass mode it is always an octave lower than I need it to be ( I am happy with a natural low E ...

I must update just to say that I cant get this setup to work. What I have been trying to do is set 3 zones on my controller (XP80) 1 sending channel 1, another 4, and another 9. 4 and 9 have the lower range which corresponds to the split point set on the Korg. Then I have been filtering these midi ...

Hey Tom, Thanks so much for your responses, I sense "power user"! I am going to play with this idea some and I will let you know how I get on. The only thing is that I really like to have a couple of octaves for both basslines and chords, that way I can play lines more naturally and use different ...

Thanks for that. I have done exactly as you say, and for the most part that works. The only issue I have now is that I have transposed the bass up an octave in order to be able to play LHB when in manual mode. The 76 keys give me much lower notes naturally. Anyhow, thats fine, and it works. But when ...

Can a PA800 be "driven" from an external keybpard
Hi all, First post here, It seems like a great community, I have done a ton of reading here since I purchased a PA800 a few weeks ago. Here is my problem. I want to be able to play the PA800 from my Roland XP80 as I feel the need for 76 keys, and frankly the action on the XP is much nicer. So when I ...
