Invite you to have a look at my ehx-pedals-videos. They are done with a Volca Bass but I do use them very often with my Monotribe!
Especially EHX Pitch Fork and EHX Memory Boy Delay are perfect

Conc. the kenable 5 Pin DIN MIDI Plug: It says in its description: "With regards to the photo, going clockwise, the pin out for the 5 pin din to 3.5mm stereo jack plug is: Tip- First pin Middle- Second pin Base- Third pin" That differs to the description of zenwanger: Pcb Midi Trs Tx Pin5 tip VD ...

One issue to consider:

if you go the CV/gate-way you are going to loose "Sync" on your Monotribe (which means the little drum Computer becomes useless)

pattern features: work
play back options: work - except "slide"
"note jump" is within the scale

My guess is that if the 2 videos showing all these creative ways to use the SQ-1 to control and manipulate a pattern of notes on a volca keys or volca bass through midi, then I should be able to use the SQ-1 in exactly the same way on the Electribe 2. Right? Also how well does the SQ-1 stay in key ...

You need to provide more details otherwise it´s too much guesswork..

Can you connect the QuNexus directly to MidiPro or do you need to go first into the PC and from there to MidiPro?

My advice as a proud Monotribe user for many years (this was my first synth): try to get a (used) MIDIFIED Monotribe, this make life much more easier (you can connect an external Keyboard to program a sequence, or an external sequencer, or your DAW...)

"volume" should not have any influence on Sync - they are not related.

Did you set the sync-polarity properly (global settings) - it seems that this is most of the time the main reason for sync-problems on the Volcas ...

As my "personal rule" I try to avoid daisy-chaining and prefer one central master clock sending clock to all other devices in parallel (for both midi-setup and Sync-setup). In your suggested Setup you need to consider that VSample and SQ-1 have the possibility of clock-division which might cause ...
