THANKS ! I have some questions regarding your method : Will it allow me to play the volca while on "Keyboard" mode on the Electribe? Will it stretch the lenght to 4 bars on the volca too? What happens to the internal sequence on the volca while it is being sequenced by the electribe ? Love Burzum ...

I have changed my es2 from internal playback to handling MIDI sequencing duties only for now. The es2 is actually a pretty decent sequencer, with scales, grooves etc - So there's that at least. I haven't figured how to send program change messages though, anyone know how-to? One upside with this is ...

I am starting to think that this is a hardware limitation after all? As in "not enough cpu to dynamically modulate polyphonically via velocity" I've been getting my hands dirty programming DX synthesis on the volca fm the past few days, and the fact that the voice engine updates itself only when new ...

I have only one that would be really great to have on the es2: 48 But, since now having read the whole list, I see very little reason for korg not also implementing the following: 15 19 25 28 30 54 65 73 74 75 82 Fixing those issues should not require significant recoding of the OS (except maybe for ...

You'd better submit a bug report to Korg then, while they are still making updates to the firmware, otherwise it'll stay like this forever..

I am sorry if I seem like a debbie downer to you, just trying to be realistic here. The es2 is a low price point groovebox, it is unreasonable to expect miracles from it. Get an octatrack or an MPC instead. I for one like what I can do with the es2 as it is currently. Accept it for what it is, warts ...

Are you running it with batteries? That's the powering option that is the quietest AFAIK.

I think JJ only knows how to reverse engineer the 1k/2k5 MPC operating systems (since he was a part of the team making them). I very much doubt he'd be able to do anything similar with any other piece of hardware. Besides, the es2 will never be perfect. The CPU is too puny and the output stage is ...

Yeah, heard it since day one on my machine as well. You just have to "live with it" I guess.

But hey, the same issue is present with the volca keys as well. Korg QA needs to get a frequency analyzer. Luckily we have software parametric eqs with sharp q's, easy to get rid of it

yeah, and remember you can have up to 8 diff. stereo fx setups this way! Just alternate between the fx by muting/unmuting tracks, or even mix several fx as you like 8)

Throw in volca sync io and motion sequencable kaoss fx pls! My needs with volca tonegen dept are already met with ...

I have the cable and have been thinking about this as well. But will the track mutes from the volca samp work with incoming MIDI? Otherwise you can't do detailed midi muting, if you can only control the mutes from the electribe..

I have the cable and use it with a beatstep pro, works perfectly

nice! just be careful when saving your fm sequences. You need to save both the patch and the sequence data, and if you're using specific transpositions, envs, arps and algorithm settings, also remember to motion record them all to the sequence and save the sequence. I've lost a few really cool ...
