I like this thread. Interesting. Just guessing here, but my breakdown goes something like this: MOD-7 : 30% MS-20 : 20% Polysix : 15% AL-1 : 15% HD-1 : 10% STR-1 : 10% CX3 : 0% I favor the MOD-7 because it just sounds SO GOOD and I prefer the routing. Not a big Organ user so that answers that. I see ...

I guess my logic is flawed. Dumb me. FM8 can import SYSEX files from a DX7. I thought that maybe if the OASYS could import SYSEX from a DX7 then it could dump SYSEX that would be readable by a DX7 and therefore readable by FM8 as long as it was a MOD7 patch. Not true I guess. As I said, my ...

MOD7 SYSEX Export Troubles
I've made a 6 OSC pad in the MOD-7. I'm trying to dump it into sysex librarian so I can import it into NI FM8 on my Receptor. I'm getting an error that says its not in the recognized format. I've tried reading it back into the OASYS and I'm getting the no readable data error. Here's the file: http ...

Re: No OASYS at Musikmesse
Hi Fellas, today I have from a reliable source that the OASYS at Musikmesse no longer issued and there are no further developments for the OASYS into the future           Oasys76 Zzzzzzzzzzzzzz...... +1 I wish threads like this would cease!! ryan42 Sorry to hear about your freeze. I can sympathize with you, but I must say that you can't let a freeze stop you from performing with your OASYS live. I've played somewhere around 75 shows with my O since I got it. Out of those shows, I've had 3 crashes while performing. Ideally that number ...

Ray, This is totally doable. I'm using backing tracks from the OASYS when I perform with my band live. It works great. I use about 9 backing tracks but you could do as many as you want I'm sure. I run two tracks of audio. Track 1(the backing tracks) runs out the main outputs to the house. Track 2 ...

I'm very interested in getting that classic rhodes sound on the OASYS without samples as well. I agree that the STR-1 EPs and MOD-7 EPs are good, but I haven't been able to create an authentic sounding rhodes on the OASYS just yet either. However, this may be due to my amateur programming skills ...

Someone should definitely give the MOD-7 the review it deserves. That SOS bit doesn't do it justice. The MOD-7 is one of the best synth engines I've ever heard! It's absolutely amazing. I created a pad on it the other day that sounded like velvet; there's no other way to describe it. It continues to ...

Anyone else still having problems?
Is anyone else still having random freezes in Song mode? I had another rather embarrassing one at a show last week right as we were starting our set. I now have a renewed interest in this topic. The freezes are happening most frequently in song mode when I have anywhere from 6 to 9 songs loaded ...
