I own a PA800 but tried the PA3X and in my point of view it is not worth the extra money. The sound source is the same with some tweaks or so. Here in Portugal the price is almost the double.

In my opinion using a brand new arranger keyboard from any company in serious live gigs is a big mistake. Whatttt???????? 3000€ or plus and not using it for live use???? Most people change their actual PA800 or PA2X for PA3X do not afford to have both... It is a major failure from KORG no this one. ...

Is there any way we can change type 0 to type 1? Any software?

Looks to me that Ketron is working for Korg and Yamaha in the way that they have good ideas but don't look that they have the know how to apply them in the best way. Soon enough 2010?? Korg is most likely to announce a new arranger with all these features from Audya AND MORE but in a working state ...
