@ Worth Looks like our own highjacking of a thread got highjacked in regards to SA sounds! I've been out of town for a while. I'm going to start a thread in the genreal arrangers forum or the arrangers forum abotu arrangers and vst's. I'll post a link here when I do. There are definetly some work ...

Re: Oasys as MIDI controller
Yes but it's one hell of an instrument when not midi controlling! Absolutley! As far as Vienna... they are really nice these days by letting you get a flavor without havnig to purchase huge libraries. I started with the Special Edition bundle with extra articualtions to get my feet wet and have ...

You may be underwhelmed with what you hear, ha! But the building blocks are there to refine and enhance your arranger sounds for sure. Hmmm... Thinking these Tolstoy posts of mine should probably be moved to the general arranger forum so others can unleash the power of their arrangers. Have fun with ...

If yours is the Pa1x Pro sampling is your best friend for updating sounds. But.. you can always use VSTs!!! Ok so as I state in my video for orchestral scoring ...

i am not a yamaha fan boy before anyone concludes that. I just dont like the way folks here dumb down a product just because it is an arranger. I hear a lot of talk about what could be done with VSTs combined with a cheap arranger but i wouldlove for some one to actually demonstrate this with say ...

I use my O as a midi controller when composing orchestral works via Vienna Ensemble Pro in Protools. It's the main controller keyboard in my studio for Pro Tools use. Of course I track with it as well from time to time, but it's a running joke that it's the "world's most expensive" midi controller ...

Re: Yamaha Tyros 4 versus Oasys
Has anyone tried out a Yamaha Tyros 4? If so, how does it compare to the Oasys? At $5299, is it substantially better than a Korg Kronos? Gotta say it’s odd that there is so much Tyros love here (due to the super articulation)… OK like has been stated before, you can’t really compare a Tyros to an OA ...

OASYS as a Pro Tools Controller
Has anyone mapped the OASYS as a Pro Tools controller. I've been using an Axiom on the road as a Pro Tools controller and it's been wonderful. I see all of the sliders knobs etc. on the OASYS and they are screaming to be used as a Pro Tools controller in the studio. I have to imagine someone is ...

Thanks Stephen for sharing that, how many founders and true legends are willing to simply sit and enjoy a moment with others. Amazing... With the recent ...

I would say a lot of synths are overrated! Just because so many artists track with them doesn't means it is the better engine. And for what is analog emulation if there are enough analogs? If Daft Punk, the BEP or GaGa or whoever starts re-using an 8-bit casio, then all run and want 8 bit quality ...

Dr Who, While Virus does have a 'phat' unique character, I must say it does not sound analog AT ALL, not even close. DSI Tetra or Moog on the other hand sounds real analog. There is absolutely no VA synth or software instrument that sounds true analog. virus however is indeed better if you want all ...
