I think you are on the right track. One question, is it a Laptop hard drive or a regular PC drive with an external housing? Sometimes the USB power is not enough to juice up a regular PC drive but works on Laptop disks. It's a laptop HD, one of those Toshiba ultra portable hard drives. I'm going to ...

Thanks for all the help, however nothing worked. I think the issue is with the hard drive. I noticed that when I use a stick, the device "gets power" (light comes on) about half-way through the boot process, which means its recognized by the system when its time to load the KEPs. When the hard drive ...

Can't Load PCM Data From Hard Drive
I'm having a problem with my USB hard drive as my primary device. The unit recognizes the hard drive but will not autoload the KEP files. The HD is attached to the top USB connector and the KEPs are in the root directory. If I put them on a USB stick and attach it to the M3 they autoload fine, but ...

Re: 2 ways to play Radias with M3?
Quick question on playing the Radias (the module, not the EXB) with an M3. After reading through the reviews, the Korg website, and this forum, I have come to the conclusion that there are two separate ways to play a Radias with the M3: (i) through MIDI, like any external instrument, or (ii) by ...

Re: M3's (TFX) Stereo Tube Pre Amp Sounds Great !
Yes, I discovered this effect a couple months ago. Now I use it as the TFX on all my tracks. Preset 2 is particularly nice.muziksculp wrote:Hi,
Here is a little tip...
I'm not sure if others have noticed this, but the M3's TFX effect (St. Tube PreAmp) sounds great.

I had no idea you could do this...
Forgive me if this is documented somewhere, but I've never seen it. I recently switched from Windows to Linux on my laptop. I own a D3200 in addition to my M3 and Radias and I knew that PC mode on the 3200 works in Windows as well as Linux. Well...I thought, "The M3 is just another OS, so why couldn ...

The different scenes store different KARMA RTC settings. Put the control surface into KARMA RTC mode (hit the KARMA button, which is in the group of 5 buttons called Control Assign), select a scene and then change KARMA setting using the switches and faders, repeat for each scene. The scenes are ...

Allright, thank you! ZOID, you have a Radias Rack in your M3, how are they connected ? I ask myself how you switch between them because you have a Keybed for both. Or don't connect the keyboard and use a MIDI out from the M3 to the MIDI in on the Radias. You can then select MIDI 'ext' to play the ...

Confused About Scenes
OK, I'm either incredibly stupid or I just can't find it in any of the docs... What I want to do: Have a different pattern in each scene for A, B, C, & D. I can't figure out how to change them. I know its possible because the combis and programs have different ones. When I set a pattern in "GE Setup ...

Re: M3 sounds weak over Triton/Micro-X!
Again guys, I am not a flamer. I just want to give my opinion that's all. I went to the Guitar Center today and tried the M3 and the Micro-X, Triton Extreme and [Triton TR. Micro-X, Triton Extreme and TR sounded phatter and juicier than the dull sounding M3. M3 had slightly improved guitar/piano ...
