Hi Mono, mono wrote:Firstable when you format the SSD and load the OS-res pkg. file and turn the unit on it should not be saying laoding pcm data, because there is not any, right? Also I discovered another way of formating the Kb without loading the SSD formating pkg. By pressing style play and media buttons together and turning the unit on, it will give you the options and then you can hit pad4 and that will format the SSD.
The sequence of things you are doing to your keyboard can cause irrepairable damage. The "undocumented" formatting method via pad4 that you described was apparently for use in the manufacturing process, and is not for users. Korg have posted warnings on this forum several times saying DO NOT use this method. You could wipe the USB device drivers and then your keyboard will be bricked (ie an expensive paperweight).
As Paolo says, Korg are on the case. I do not understand why you did not follow Korg's (Paolo)'s instructions with the Beta software, but that is between you and him.
Meantime - other Pa2x owners please note - if you have a Pa2x, please, please, do not load .SET files containing user multisamples, or use the sample editor, until the software fix from Korg has been released. If you ignore this advice, your keyboard is likely to lock up with SSD memory corruption - and you will be unable to use it until the new OS is available.
Best regards,
Rob
