you know that i have a Dimension D.
When I sampled the CP, I used the popular Dimension Preset 4, but only a little Bit :-)
Peter Gabriel used the Boss CE-3 chorus! :-)

Take care,

Kurt
Hi Kurt,

you are right about the Boss Chorus on Peter's CP-70! Thanks. I know that he was using a Dimension D as well, but now when I read your comment I remember that he once told that he is using a Boss Chorus in an interview.

peter
Hi Peter,

the old Boss CE-3 are also a legend like the Dimension, but the Chorus into the Oasys is simular 80% of it...
Peter, do you check the CP-70 Chorus Preset? I love it

Take care,

Kurt

Hi Kurt,

but sometimes the missing 20% are making the difference. Ok, maybe not in that case...

Thanks for all your amazing pianos and no doubt incredibly dedicated and meticulous work. These pianos are just wonderful.

I was wondering, however, if you had any thoughts on the Fender Rhodes and why it sounds a little disjointed at greater velocity levels?

I notice another poster saying he loves Rhodes 1 - so perhaps I'm doing something wrong? Actually - in trying out the different pianos, I'm not deleting the previous programs in User-A from the previously tested piano - so I'm wondering if I' m installing incorrectly and hence inheriting the program velocity levels of the previously installed pianos? It seems unlikely, but I am noticing an issue just with the Rhodes pianos.

Cheers,
Kevin.
Hi Kevin,

thanks for the compliments...
The Real Pianos are in user A and all the E Pianos in user B!
When you load the Rhodes, please select all the 3 folders PCG, KMP and KSF...
I`am shure you load it correct!?

PS: The CP-70 Chorus Piano I designed it like the original Tony Banks and Peter Gabriel Piano and for me it sounds the same

Best Regards,

Kurt -

Thank you. That's it - incredibly, when installing a KEP electric piano after testing a KGP acoustic piano, I was trying bank A - and that was playing the KEP samples with velocity layering for the acoustic pianos, which sounded completely wrong. I see now that the KPE pianos are installed to user bank B. I've tried out Rhodes 1, Rhodes2, Wurlitzer, CP70 and GS1 EP and all are absolutely perfect and absolutely fabulous. I'm hugely relieved. so all is well, and congratulaions now on your wonderful electric pianos - they are great.

Thanks!,
Kevin.

@medusa: I cannot load the correction for Fazioli 2 :(

I don't own 4 Faziolis - just one Bösendorfer. And it doesn't make much sense to me to compare a sampled (or whatever) Piano to a real one. It will just never sound and feel the same - no matter how many layers you sample. BUT if I would try to record my Piano I'm much better of with high-quality samples instead. I was really surprised after having listened to Karo's demos, that this are sampled Pianos and I knew I'll buy them. This is certainly much more than "good enough". STILL the difference between playing a real piano, feel the keys, the response of the hammers, the "vibes" of the whole thing ... you just can't compare it. :!:

EDIT: Sorry - just realized I've answered to comments on the first page of this thread ... I'm a bit behind, I'm afraid ...

hi,

I thought maybe some of you are intertested in the difference of the internal Wurlitzer sound and the one from KARO. A short phrase unfortunately suffering from a word clock problem coming from either the Lynx audio card or MOTUs dp.

Ok Kevin I think I am getting used to the mix of the pianos. I vote for disk 1 as the fazoli1 and the steinway and wonderful. and I also like the Steingweg. I find the Bosendofer hard to get used to but I'll try it again. The fazoli is odd though because the stereo dynamic changed when you paly (p) vs. (f). I tested them with some beethoven and rachmaninoff. I also tried them with some Keith Emerson such as Close to Home, Take a pebble and Trilogy as well as Tarkus. Piano disk 1 held up reasonably nice. still trying to be objective as I compare with the EX2 which is nice after all.

ciao giuseppe,

in that case go to "LOAD" select "multiple select" and then touch all three files you need to load into your OASYS. Then under ".PCG Contents: > All" touch the ">" and select BANK U-A (in the case that KARO stored their programs in that Bank) then you get access to "To: > Bank I-A" touch again the ">" button and select Bank U-A then click "Append" ... this should add the sounds to the existing ones without clearing the EXs2.
