ES-1 does not recognize Smartcard adapter + 32MB xd card

I bought Smartcard adapter and 32MB XD cards for my Electribe ES-1. Problem is that my Electribe does not recognize Smartcard adapter with the XD card. I know the adapter works because I can read with my USB card reader -> smartcard reader -> 32MB XD card.
On electribe, pressing shift + button 15 does not even lit.

Please help!

This post solved my issue! (I think I tried in Global mode, although the manual does NOT mention it. maybe the SM card apapter was dirty.)

Yes, I reformatted the xd cards on Electribe. It is strange that the manual omits that it has to be Global mode before pressing shift + "15".
But, I think I have tried shift + "15" on global mode too, before posting, so I think the card apapter was dirty.

Yup sometimes if the card connectors have just a tiny bit of dust or fingerprints on them, the ES-1 will not read the card! I had that problem a few times, but I cleaned my cards with a T-shirt and than they worked fine again.
