Sampling Mode - How do you change RAM Bank???

Post by Wares7 »

Hi everyone,

I hope someone can help me with the following problem on my Pa1X Pro:

In sampling mode I load a WAVE file and slice it then when i select write.
I choose the location, but then it says: "Not enough RAM for PCM".
But the problem is when i go to sampling info i can see my RAM Bank 1 is full, but RAM Bank 2 has 114s. of free space.

Does anyone know how to change to RAM Bank 2?

Please help me it's very urgent!

Hi Wares,

It is simple. You don't have enough ram memory. 114 s is too low for a sample, it can't be filled.

I think that is it...

I have 114 seconds free space and my sample is 3-4 seconds, so my RAM bank 2 is not full!

If the OS says it is full then the OS cannot add any more to RAM.
I do not know how RAM is distributed and allocated but I would guess that this would be the reason.
RAM may be fragmented - you could save your SET, clear RAM and reload your SET - this may possibly "defragment" RAM and free up a little space.

I am guessing here - I am not familiar with the architecture of these keyboards.
