No worries James..
One thing though when I try to play a style using the Audio Player, (just oen of the oens already in your db) I get the message "The specified device is nto open or is not recognised by MCI"

Any ideas about that one, or perhaps something I am not loading or doing wrong?

Hi James. I find that the 'midi' player for the style will only work on one style in the Database. The rest are not active.. See pics.

Other style highlighted....

Also when I create a new Database the screen has no active windows...I can't find a way to 'Add' any styles. Perhaps just me here....

Thank You James,
now the task begins of adding all the styles I've kept over the last 15 or so years.
Great to have software to help sort them out.
best wishes

Hi Dennis.

Just looking at that here and I found a typo / error. The Style “8 Beat Ballad” for the Tyros 1 is referencing a file called 1.mp3 This is a test file I was using at the time I was writing the media players functions. So that's a mistake on my part, that file should not be typed into the media player window.

I will remove it on the next release.

Try playing back the style “Modern Ballad” for the Tyros 1. That should work.
Slow Rock 1 & Slow Rock 2 are also ones that should work.

Regards
James

Hi mrniceneasy.
I find that the 'midi' player for the style will only work on one style in the Database. The rest are not active.. See pics.
The media player doesn't read the styles. To implement such a function at this stage would stop this project dead in it's tracks for a year as there are too many different type of style files all in different formats. Compatibility can also be easily broken when keyboard OS's are updated.

So the way it works right now is in “C\Program Files\Style Manager Universal” there is a folder called “myfiles”. This is where you can put mp3, wav or midi files of the actual style. So you can record your Pa2X actually playing the style and dump the mp3 in to your myfiles folder if you like. Then just type the name of the file into the media player and it will become part of the program forever.

Part of the support I want to give to the program is to also populate the database with midi files of the styles, so in time everything will look far more complete.

It's an ongoing development as you know.

Also when I create a new Database the screen has no active windows...I can't find a way to 'Add' any styles. Perhaps just me here....
That's a feature for another day but if you want to start building your own database right now, then just download this empty file.

You can rename the file to whatever you want and start working with that.

Sharp.

Yes, at the bottom of the webpage are the installation instructions.

http://www.irishacts.com/ezypal/index.php?do=style

Installation instructions.
1: Download both the program and the database.
2: Unzip both and run the setup.exe to install Style Manager Universal (SMU)
3: Copy the database.bbd file to your “My Documents” folder.
4: Launch the icon on your desktop to run SMU and click on yellow icon (Open Local Database)
5: Navigate and open the database.bbd file you placed in your “My Documents” folder.
6: Select the User Account and login with password user1

I'd also recommend watching the moves.

Regards
Sharp.

Thanks James. That's the way we learn about new programs through feedback. I'll download the database and give it a go.

Hi
Does this program is possible to convert a style from Tyros1 to Pa2x? Can we assume a page where users from around the world can add their style to many popular instruments and styles to download it
(sorry for my bad english)
