Oh what a lucky man, he was! Kronos 88 coming tomorrow in UK
I am in shock. I posted last week that I had ordered my Kronos 88 from Pmt in Birmingham. Well I had a surprise this morning when they called me to say it's in! It is being couriered to home tomorrow morning.
So my wife will get to see it first as I am working long hours at the moment!
I don't know if anyone else has had theirs yet but I was expecting this to take a few more weeks. I will post some thoughts when I get to play it. Cant wait now!

Set it up and took some unboxing photos I will try and share tomorrow. Not that heavy for an 88 which was good getting it up 2 lots of stairs.
It looks much nicer than I expected. Not too deep and has replaced my Fatar controller on a 3 tier stand (legacy collection controller on top-not sure I need that now...).
Boot time didn't bother me as same as M3 really and have not noticed any fan noise yet.
RH3 feels great but is quite noisy on a first go. And the sound? Fantastic! So clear and defined with a warmth and depth that is very different to M3 (which I was very happy with sound wise). The clarity in combi mode is very special.
Initial impressions were that the pianos are incredible. I have a Roland digital grand in lounge but the Kronos destroys it and that was on a brief session at lower volumes as family had gone to bed! Electric pianos also great and I was straight into editing in seconds on those because it's so easy and fun!
Set list is lovely and the pads also surprised me as they work fine. That said I do think the missing physical pads is a mistake on such an otherwise beautifully thought out device. Other interface elements seem fine to me but data wheel is a cheaper plastic than rest of the board.
I am still very bemused at how this turned up out of the blue. Has anyone else had an 88 in the Uk? I did plead with the Korg rep when I tried the 61 out a couple of weeks ago today to try and make sure I got a first delivery spare they had assigned to PMT but it's all a bit surreal as I didn't think it would be yet. I called last Friday and was told end of aug!

Latest news (Wednesday) - the promised "by the end of July" has now slipped to "in August". Korg still not putting dealers in the picturepanrixx wrote:Same here and I think from the same dealer, so that is why.keyplayer14 wrote:Good question, you may well be the first!I am still very bemused at how this turned up out of the blue. I read other stories (not in UK) about batches in September / October so I guess the delivery of Kroni will be slow for at least the next months too.DaveBoulden wrote:I've heard through the grapevine (info coming originally from a Korg UK rep) that they're currently expecting to get the next lot of 73/88s here by the last week of August or 1st week of September.
