CX-3 - Perfect Strangers Organ Sound
Moderators: Sharp, X-Trade, Pepperpotty, karmathanever
Yes,
it is with additional Ifx slots. The EXi-CX-3 leslie and the preamp is deactivated. The dry CX-3 signal is routed through a ditortion, the CX-3 leslie and then through a stereo-mic preamp to get the typical "wrap-wrap"-effekt when the rotor passes the microphones.
A little bit fine tuning with the pre 3 band EQ. All effects are from the Kronos. No external effects and direct sampled with the on board sampler of the Kronos.

This really sounds good ... far better than my M50.

Thanks for the reminder there, Busch. I have used the Organimation library versions for both Motif and M3 in the past, so I think I shall treat myself to the Oasys/Kronos version as I thin k they make better starting points for tweaking than the onboard CX3 presets I've tried so far.burningbusch wrote:You guys might want to check out ksounds stuff. I really like it. You be the judge whether he nails the hard rock sound. He does bypass the internal distortion on the CX-3 and uses guitar amps and other Kronos distortion IFXs. He also often uses two Leslie sims at the same time, which is an interesting approach and I think quite effective. I also like that some of the presets are mono. If you have a good Leslie simulation, it should sound good in mono.

The audio demos sound just like the programs so there shouldn't be any surprises.
Busch.
Kronos 73 Mk1, Roland Fantom 07 and a studio full o'stuff!
Thanks very much for posting the patch, Dan!
P.S. The link to Korgpatches doesn't work here with Firefox.
I get the following error message:
"File does not exist or the link has expired."

Michel, if it works from your place, why is the the counter on Korgpatches still at zero?
Are you sure you haven't downloaded from Dan's original place?

Sorry I misunderstood, I thought the links from here to the site ... but I rechecked, downloading the patch itself is not possible.jimknopf wrote:Michel, if it works from your place, why is the the counter on Korgpatches still at zero?![]()

Seems that we have discovered a bug, will take a look at it when home from work. The counter counts when a download occurs so that should only work if somebody actually happened to be able to download the file so to say... But I know perhaps what is causing the error, its something with the filename that has been selected for the patch which confuses the download script and it does not seem to find the patch.
Edit: haha such a failure from my side. I just checked the files with 0 downloads which is weird compared to the count from the other files and found what they have in common, they have a "-" in the name, I'll fix this later today if I have time, Thanks for reporting this in. Need to build an error report tool that send me email when something like this happens since nobody reports in problems like this usually, usually when I have a problem with a website i just try later
Edit 2: as you might have noticed the problem is now fixed
